Third Person Pov :
As they hold each other close, Darian's lips tenderly press against Sera's forehead.
He gazes deeply into her eyes, his expression a blend of affection and determination.
"You're safe with me," he murmurs, his voice a soothing reassurance. "I'll always protect you, no matter what."
His gentle touch caresses her face, his fingers tracing the curves with care. "You mean everything to me, Sera. I won't let anything happen to you."
With every stroke, he silently vows to shield her from harm. Just as Sera is about to speak, she notices a shadowy figure approaching from behind.
Instantly, a surge of apprehension floods her, fearing the worst.
The shots echo through the room, shattering the tranquility of their embrace.
Sera's heart skips a beat as she sees familiar faces emerging from the darkness. Caleb, Katherine, and another persons she vaguely remembers from her wedding rush towards them, relief washing over their expressions.
"Thank God you're safe, Sera. We were losing our minds," Katherine exclaims, her voice trembling with emotion.
Darain turns to see the man whimpering on the ground, a bullet wound in his leg. "Take him to headquarters," he orders sternly, his gaze piercing through the chaos.
As they prepare to leave, Dominic, ever the joker, teases Darain, "Boss, be careful. We're in enemy territory. This isn't the place for romance."
Despite the gravity of the situation, a faint smile tugs at the corners of Darain's lips, his focus now on ensuring their safe return.
Darain scoops Sera into his arms, her warmth pressed against him as they navigate the tumult.
She buries her face in his neck, a blush tinting her cheeks as he kisses her forehead tenderly. "I can walk," she grumbles softly, but Darain holds her closer, his voice firm yet gentle,
"Not with me around, especially not until I'm sure you're alright."
Katherine leans in to Caleb, murmuring, "I never knew Darain was such a softie."
Dominic joins them, placing a hand on each of their arms, "Had I not seen his actions, I would have mistaken him for a teddy bear."
Their laughter fills the air until Darain's voice cuts through, "You're all working overtime without pay."
Their smiles falter as Katherine turns to Sera, moving forward to stand by her man, "He isn't being fair. We've been busting our asses; we deserve a bonus, not unfair labor."
Back at the headquarters, Sera is promptly checked by the doctor, but not without a bit of playful resistance from Darain.
"Careful now, doc. That's my wife you're poking,if u hurt her unnecessary i will hurt u in way u can't imagine " Darain quips, hovering protectively nearby. Sera, amused by his antics, chuckles softly.
The doctor, unfazed by Darain's protective demeanor, nods understandingly. "I'll be gentle, Mr. Darain. Just trust me," he replies, focusing on his task.
As the doctor tends to her wound, Darain keeps a close eye on the procedure, ready to intervene at the slightest discomfort. "Easy there, Doc. She's tougher than she looks," Darain remarks, a hint of pride in his voice.
With a warning to the doctor not to cause his wife any unnecessary pain, Darain's protectiveness shines through, earning a chuckle from Sera. "Oh, come on, Darian. I'm fine," Sera reassures him, shooting him a playful glance.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, their playful banter provides a moment of relief amidst the tension.
Sera, however, takes a more serious tone, " Darain, you have some extreme explanations to do ." Darain, kissing her hand tenderly, reassures her that he will explain everything once she's feeling better.
"I promise, love. Let's just focus on getting you better first," he says softly, his eyes filled with warmth and sincerity.
With a nod and a smile, Sera finally feels a sense of peace settling over her, knowing that they will face whatever challenges come their way together.
