The "Long Awaited Conversation"

THIRD PERSON POV :

The Atmosphere is filled with tension , as it has been 5 hours since sera lost her consciousness, darain is still in a bit of a panic mode .

But he is holding on strong for her sake , suddenly he sees her moving and her eyes opening , he breathes a sigh of relief as she finally wakes up .

He is on her side , on the speed of a light .

"Thank goodness, you're awake. Now come, drink this. You need to take your medication." Darain said .

Sera shocked by his presence asked "Why are you here now after ignoring me for two weeks?"

Darian replied "Sera, I'm sorry, but it's necessary."

Sera getting frustrated whisper shouted as her throat was dry "Necessary? Explain! You owe me an explanation."

Darian replied   "I can't, Sera. There are things I can't say."

Sera getting tired of excuses said " Can't or won't? I can't go on alone anymore. I need you. You're my family."

Darian replied slowly  "Sera, there are truths I can't reveal."

Sera just wanting some peace said "You have to find it in you to tell me before it's too late."

Darian says coming forward to hold her ( hug her ) "I wish I could, but some things are beyond my control."

Sera leaning into his touch "I hope you find the strength, Darian."

Darian not wanting to continue the conversation decided to change the topic "You need to take better care of yourself. I won't always be there."

Sera suddenly caught off guard and worried by his choice of words says "Why won't you always be there? What's happening?"

Darian replied in a shrugged manner as in not to worry her "It's work stuff, Sera. Don't worry."

Sera not fully convinced "Don't shut me out, Darian. whatever it is u can share u dont have to go through it alone."

Darian "I won't. I know i can trust u i just need time."

Sera says again as in not fully convinced"You can't keep shutting me out, Darian! I need to know what's tearing us apart."

Darian replied  "Sera, it's complicated. I'm trying to protect you."

Sera getting worried turned around to looking him in the eyes and says "Protect me? By making me feel abandoned? That's not protection; it's torture."

Darian getting uncomfortable of her gaze replies "There are things you don't understand, things I can't say."

Sera angrily replies "I deserve to know the truth! I won't be kept in the dark."

Darian getting frustrated by her repeating thr same thing replies "Sera, I can't risk it. The truth could destroy us."

Sera teary-eyed looks into his icy blue eyes says "What are you so afraid of? Afraid that I won't love you if I know who you truly are?"

Darian regrets his harsh words seeing tears in her eyes replies "It's not about that. It's about keeping you safe from a reality you might not handle."

Sera defiant "I can handle anything, but I can't handle this distance. I won't lose you"

Darian helplessly against her resistance says "Sera, I wish it were that simple."

Sera: "Simple or not, we're in this together. I won't let you push me away."

Darian replies softly as in to make her understand his situation "You don't understand the danger, Sera. My past could harm you."

Sera "And not knowing hurts even more. I want the truth, even if it's painful."

Darian sighs "It's not just about me. There are forces that could come after you."

Sera replies to show him that he can trust her "We face it together. I'm not backing down."

Darian resignes against her attempts and replies "Ican't promise to reveal everything, but I'll try to let you in"

Sera happy that her resistance caused him to open up and determined to make him trust her says "That's all I ask. We can navigate this together, Darian. No more secrets."

And he replies placing his head between her nexk and breathing in her natural scent , not being able to hold himself back lightly kissing her neck replies " no more secrets."
