The screen opened up to show a new day with Lumine and Paimon standing in front of Dehya.
"Hey Dehya!" Paimon greeted with a wave.
Dehya smiled at them with a pleased nod. "Right on time."
"Right on time? For what?" someone from Fontaine asked.
"If I remember correctly, they captured some people in the previous video so I guess they finally managed to gain some answers from them," someone from Natlan recalled.
"Ah...right," the first person uttered with a shiver. "I definitely don't want to remember the torture."
"How weak," someone from Snezhnaya scoffed. "They didn't even show anything, just the sounds. Even then, it's nothing much."
"Not everyone's fine with such things like blood," Beidou said.
"Did we learn anything from the criminals?" Lumine asked, going straight to the topic.
"We'll know any moment now," Dehya replied.
Paimon nodded before asking her own question. "Paimon's been wondering... You seem to know Candace pretty well. Have you been friends for a long time?"
"Oh? Curious about our life stories now, Paimon?" Dehya joked.
"You shouldn't," someone advised. "Not only is it very invasive, it's also very boring to watch."
"True, I'd rather not listen to someone's relationships if it can be helped," another agreed.
"What boring people," someone from Fontaine mused. "It's quite fun to hear."
"We've known each other for some time now," Dehya responded once she got over the sudden topic change. "She's a pretty interesting person. Even though she's an extremely strong warrior, she never misuses her power against others."
"And that's something someone needs to learn," Yoimiya said pointedly while looking at the Sage.
"That's not possible," Childe shook his head. "He doesn't have the strength of a strong warrior."
"True," someone sighed. "He just has the brain and even then, it isn't clear. It's quite muddy, if you ask me, which is why it's a surprise he's still in his position."
"Nepotism."
"Probably."
"Does he know or is related to wealthy people, though?"
"Who knows? Do you think he gained his position fairly?"
"With those brains? Of course not."
"Oh, Paimon knows what you mean. Like a lot of martial artists say: "Never take the fight outside the ring"."
"Yep, I guess you can put it that way. It takes strong convictions to be as dedicated as she is and shoulder that kind of responsibility.
"Well, I'm touched at how positive you view me," Candace told Dehya.
"Eh, you deserve it," Dehya said as Candace slightly smiled.
Us mercs, on the other hand... We pretty much live from one day to the next."
"Well, Paimon thinks you're great too!"
"Really? Thanks for that," Dehya smiled as Cyno walked towards them.
"You're definitely deserving of praise," Beidou agreed with a sharp grin. "Not many will be willing to stick to their principles when it comes to money."
