HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Wow, time flies so quickly. I remember the time I was just thinking about writing this story and now we're already in Sumeru. Well, anyway, since we ended Christmas with a chapter, let's do the opposite and start the year with a chapter, no? Hehehe~ ^^ Well, I hope you all have a great year!
Q&A: How did you get into Genshin and what made you stay until now? I personally got introduced by a friend and stayed because of a little bit of everything (i.e., the plot, the aesthetic design, the characters, etc.)
"Alright, break's over, everyone ready to continue?" Lynn asked as people, both revealed and hidden, entered the room.
"Yep, my brain's all rested." many confirmed.
"Finally, I want to see what's going to happen," someone from Snezhnaya said.
"Can you just tell us everything? My brain's fried."
"True, I like the mystery but everything is just so confusing."
Their questions and requests were ignored. That would spoil the fun, after all.
"How come... we've never thought about leaving the city?"
"Huh? Leaving the city... You're right! It's really strange how we never thought of such a simple solution. Many things should become clear if we can confirm the flow of time outside of the city. Paimon can't believe it... Did we miss this because we're tunnel-visioning too hard on our other theories, or because we're just too tired?"
"It's most likely both," Zhongli said, everyone agreeing.
"Would that even be helpful?" Gorou couldn't help but ask.
"It would at least give them more evidence to help solve everything," Kokomi told him.
"It is really strange," Lumine agreed. "We should've thought of this a long time ago."
"How about we go back and ask Nahida? Maybe we've forgotten something about leaving the city." agreeing, the two ran back to Nahida who was patiently waiting for them.
"Nahida, we're back!" Paimon shouted.
"You're back early today. Did you find something new?" Nahida asked with a curious smile.
"Sort of. We're mostly sure now that we're not in a time loop, and we also aren't in the real world. But at the same time, we have a new question..."
"Have we ever tried leaving the city?" Lumine went straight to the point.
"Leaving the city... As far as I remember, you've mentioned your plans to do that twice before."
Paimon and Lumine were startled.
"We did? But we don't remember anything! What happened after we talked about those plans? What did we say when we got back?" Paimon questioned."Huh? I thought we regained all of our memories?" Paimon asked.
"Something probably went wrong," Nahida told them. "I am unsure as to why, though."
"Let me think... I don't think you ever actually told me what the outcome was. Oh — it's probably more accurate to say that both times, you never came back the whole night. But you two sometimes stay out the entire night anyway, so at the time, I didn't think too much about it."
"That's true but..." Paimon was at lost for words as she looked at Lumine who stared back.
"It seems our habit came to bite us from the back," Lumine said as Paimon groaned.
