Chapter 17: Inazuma

I'm back!! Thank you for your messages, everyone, you're all so sweet! Sorry I didn't reply, I didn't touch Wattpad until just now, hehe~ Anyways, good news is that I won't disappear for a couple of months because I'm finally in my vacation! Oh! And I'm planning on going back to the other chapters and revising it so if you notice something different, it's because of that ^^ Don't worry, you'll know it since I'll add a 'revised' part in the title :) Anyway, on to the show~

Lynn was humming a tune as she patiently waited for everyone to arrive. After around ten minutes, everyone finally arrived. 

"Hey, Lynn..." Amber looked hesitant. 

"Yeah?" Lynn asked. 

"Um, well, we heard some...screaming awhile ago." she informed. "Do you know what it was all about?"

Lynn just smiled her usual kind smile. "I'm not completely sure, why not ask your archons?"

"...Never mind, on second thought, I don't want to know." Amber nervously smiled before fleeing as many people who were eavesdropping immediately looked away.

'Better to pretend not to know anything than question the archons.' they nodded to themselves as the screen lit up.

The screen opened with Lumine and Paimon walking to the agreed meeting place in Yashiori Island, only to notice Teppei already there waiting for them.

'Teppei.' the resistance members, Lumine, and Paimon thought, especially Lumine who looked at the screen longingly. 

"Aha, Lumine, there you are, good to see you." he greeted with a grin. "Your appointment with Sangonomiya is fast approaching. We should get going. Are you ready? We'll start by heading to the camp on Watatsumi Island, and then we'll go meet Her Excellency together from there. If you start to feel seasick at any point during the trip, let me know straight away. That said, you've spent time with the Crux Fleet  in the past, so I think you'll probably be fine... Ready... and away we go!

"He's very...excited." Candace said.

"He was an enthusiastic soldier." Gorou agreed with a sad smile. 

No one noticed the past tense.

Lumine, overwhelmed by the man's excitement, had little choice but to go with him immediately. They walked for quite a while until they reached the resistance camp on Watatsumi Island.

"Here we are. The training grounds for Watatsumi Island's troops. Right now, the resistance is predominantly made up of local soldiers from Watatsumi Island. Some of them are fighting with the Shogun's army in Tartarsuna, and some of them are stationed here on the island to keep the locals safe."

Sara had no ill intention but she couldn't help but compare how much lackluster the training grounds of Watatsumi was compared to hers.

'Amazing,' she thought. 'even with obvious disadvantages, they were still willing to battle against us.'

"Did you use to train here, too?" Paimon asked.

Teppei nodded in agreement. "Yep! Unfortunately, I had to join the fight in Tatarasuna before I'd had the chance to impress the instructors. So they had me start off by helping out in the logistics division... I'll be staying here for now. If you need me for anything, just come here. If I'm not around, just write a note and stick it on the wall. As soon as I see it, I'll come find you...Shoot, it's nearly time for the appointment with Her Excellency. I'll have to show you around Watatsumi Island some other time. For now, let's get ourselves over to Sangonomiya!"
