A Little More Than This (Discontinued)

Chapter 5

Three-year-old Mei ran down the corridor, skidding to a halt outside of Hidan's room. She smiled evilly, opening the door with a slight creak of the hinges. She crept into the room muffling the sound of her footsteps with the Jutsu that Sasori had taught her in secret.

'Papa won't be very happy with Sasori-nii'

She slowly climbed onto the bed and jumped onto the sliver haired Jashinest. "Oof! Mei!?! What the hell?" Hidan asked/cried rolling onto his back and letting the tangerine head bounce on his back. "UPY, UPY, UPY!!!!!! Pein-Sama needs you in his office!!!" Mei screamed in his ear, making him jump a mile in the air.

Hidan groaned loudly as he landed on his butt, in the middle of his room. He groaned again as Mei pulled at his hand trying to get him to move. Mei moved around to his back and started pushing against his back, just as Hidan started falling backwards.

As Hidan was stronger then Mei, he squished her into the floor, smirking as the little tangerine head 'oof' in response.

"Ah! Gravity is crushing me! Help!" Hidan cried. "It is not!!!! Your big butt is crushing me!!!" Mei screamed, kicking and wriggling around. "It is too, it happened yesterday as well" Hidan whined, crossing his arms. Mei pushed him off and rolled out from underneath him, stood up and kicked his side.

"Stop lying! Go to Pein-Sama! He needs you!" Mei ordered, pointing to the door. "But I don't waaannnaa!!!!" Hidan whined. "I'll get Zetsu-nii to eat your head" Mei said, walking towards the door. "Yeah? I'd like to see that" he said, rolling over, right into Zetsu's bright yellow eyes.

"I heard I was getting a meal" Zetsu said, gnashing his teeth together. Hidan screamed loudly, jumping to his feet and running out of his room. Mei watched in amusement as Zetsu walked over to her and picked her up.

"C'mon Sugar, we should go get some breakfast" he said, eyes crinkling into a wide smile. "Ok Zetsu-nii!!!" Mei cried, hugging him and pulling him out the room. Zetsu followed behind, smiling to himself.

Mei wondered down another hallway, a boy with silver hair just out of her sight, following her. He was very interested in why this little tangerine haired girl, who had said hair in two little pigtails, was down in the basement.

"I know you are there.... So come out to where I can see you" Mei demanded. Kabuto was startled, to say the least, he had not expected Mei to be so forceful. 'It's probably because she is being raised in an S-Class criminal environment' he told himself, fixing a friendly grin on his face and walking out of the shadows.

"Oh! Hello Kabuto-Nii! I didn't know it was you!" Mei cried happily, jumping into her elders arms. Kabuto, who had grown used to the foreign action, hugged back as warmly as he could.

He always loved her hugs.

"Mei.... Should you be roaming around here? Especially after your bed-time?" Kabuto asked, as Mei fixed a pout in her soft, puppy-like features. "Kabuto-Nii~ your supposed to laugh and take me the long way around to bed, not act like papa or Leader-Sama!" She whined at him, earning a chuckle.

"Ok, ok..... I've got an idea! If I make you some hot chocolate up in the kitchen, then will you go to bed and help me explore down here tomorrow?" Kabuto asked slyly, holding out his hand. "Hai!" Mei cried grabbing his hand and allowing herself to be pulled away by the silver haired boy.

They both walked up to the kitchen and Kabuto tried to make two cups of hot chocolate; but accidentally dropped the Coco powder, making a loud bang and spreading Coco everywhere. Mei looked over at the noise and started laughing, somehow the Coco had landed in Kabuto's hair, glasses and clothes, coating him in a thick layer of the stuff.

Mei tried to walk over and help him but knocked over a metal cup, making an even louder bang then before. This time Mei got coated in milk, and slipped over in the mess, bringing Kabuto down with her.

"Ahhhhhh!!!!!" They screamed failing around on the ground.

Orochimaru, Kisame, Konan and Pein all came running around the corner at the mixed scream, to find the two lying on the floor covered in Coco powder and Milk. The two looked up at the S-Class criminals and laughed sheepishly, with Kabuto fixing his glasses shamefully.

"What'sss going on here?" Orochimaru asked. "Welllll, I was wondering around and Kabuto-Nii told me to go to bed, but I refused so he offered to make me Hot Chocolate, but dropped the Coco powder, and got Coco everywhere!!!!!! So I started laughing then walked over to help, but knocked down the cups and got milk everywhere too, I then slipped on the milk and grabbed Kabuto-Nii and we both fell down together" Mei explained as Kabuto nodded again.

Kisame sighed in exhaustion, as did Orochimaru. Pein and Konan left the room leaving the two others to deal with the two kids.

"Never again, will I let Hidan put you to bed" Kisame sighed picking up his daughter, "let's get you two cleaned up, come on, Kabuto isn't it?" Kisame asked holding his hand out for the younger boy to take a hold. "Yes sir" Kabuto said Bowing respectfully to Kisame.

"No need to bow, and just call me Kisame" The blue man requested, taking the boy's hand and leading him to the bathroom. "I'll deal with the messss, then come and put Mei to bed, jusst sssend Kabuto to the Bassement, he knowsss where to go from there" Orochimaru said turning to the mess in front of him. 'Damn kidsss' he thought picking up a rag.
