Mei was dodging and evading every attack thrown at her by the bandaged man with the supersonic sound generator. She was thinking of the function of sound waves as she tried not to get caught in them.

'Sound is produced when something vibrates, so I just gotta keep that metal immobile' she thought, ducking a swing from her foe.

She pulled the ribbons from her hair and tied it around the metal structure before pulling it tight and smashing her fist into his face, causing him to crash into the wall. She tied the end that she held around a Kunai and threw it at the wall, well out of his reach.

Mei smirked and caught her breath as Dosu growled at her, starting to bang the metal against the wall, causing sound waves to drum against her ears.

"Gah! S-stop it!" Mei cried falling to her knees. She whimpered for a second before bursting into a pile of leaves. Dosu looked around in awe, trying to locate his foe. He pulled at the ribbon, ripping it from the Kunai from the wall and walking towards the centre of the arena, stopping just before the tunnel that Naruto made during his fight.

He pushed sound waves down the tunnel and around the arena waiting for sonar for the Tangerine's position.

He sighed in anger and continued looking for the brat. He stood in the middle of the Field scanning the arena with his eyes, looking everywhere but up.

Mei looked down on her foe from up on the Arena wall, watching him intently. She pulled out a Kunai and ran down the wall slicing at the metal contraption on Dosu's arm.

Dosu made a noise, something inhumane. Something that was a cross between a shrill pain-filled screech and an anger-filled roar. He spun around, grabbed her arm and flung her into the wall, causing a small creator. Mei fell to the ground and disappeared into a cloud of smoke.

Dosu broke. "COME OUT AND FIGHT LIKE A REAL NINJA!!!" He screamed, spinning around and momentarily forgetting his chipped sound generator. His rage seemed to strengthen him as well.

Mei aimed a few Kunai at the chipped part of the sound generator as she kept moving, contemplating whether or not to use Kubikiribōchō. She was seriously considering using it since She couldn't feel Kakashi's presence. But she highly doubted that it would stay away for long, so eventually decided against it.

She sighed and pulled out two scrolls, biting her thumbs and allowing a drop of blood on them. After a quick series of hand signs she placed her hands on the two scrolls.

'Be proud of me Sasori-Nii. I practised for you' she prayed, attaching chakra strings to her small assassin puppets. She stayed hidden as she controlled them, imagining Konkūro's surprised face. She wasn't disappointed when she heard Dosu's surprised gasp.

Mei moved from her hiding spot, pinning him to the other wall and summoning a Kanata and rushing over to him. She raised and brought it down on her foes metal contraption, shattering both the sound generator and the sword.

Dosu barely made a noise, he passed out from intense pain as soon as the thing shattered. Mei stood and breathed for a second before sealing her puppets away. She bowed to the instructor and left the arena, running into Naruto and Shikamaru, who had been watching from the ground floor.

Sasori sneezed slightly as he sat with Kakuzu. "Gazuntite" Kakuzu replied, simply out of habit. Sasori smiled, but decided against poking fun at the stitched-man. He, instead, simply took another sip at his tea while reading through his and Deidara's newest mission.

"You know when you sneeze it means someone's talking or thinking about you" Kakuzu piped up suddenly. Sasori stared at him, a confused look chiseled onto his wooden face.

"Why would someone be talking or even thinking about me? Most people believe that I am either too old for this work or am dead" Sasori restored. "Nothing, just something preposterous I was questioned about" Kakuzu replied, continuing with his counting.

"Seems a lot of things are preposterous at the moment. First we had the attack in the Land of Water then again in our base near The Key Village. And hardly anyone knows about those two" Sasori agreed, leaning back in his chair. "It would seem that they are getting better at finding us, we don't have any prisoners at the moment and everyone here is loyal so that would be my explanation" Kakuzu replied, pacing away the money in the table and jotting down the sums.

"Quick question, did we ever find that doll I gave Mei?" Sasori asked. Kakuzu stilled for a moment before answering: "It was never found. Strangely".

Mei had no idea why Shikamaru and Naruto were freaking out so much, yes Gaara had been a tad cruel but the ninja should've know to get out of his way. She watched as they tried to explain to Kakashi what Gaara had done but she noticed that he seemed completely unfazed. Like he had been expecting this.

He simply told them to 'hush, you'll understand in a minute'. Mei, who had been watching the conversation intently, now started watching the match to see what Kakashi meant.

She saw Sasuke performing Rock Lee's moves from the preliminary rounds perfectly. 'How!? It took Lee years to perfect those sorts of moves! How the hell did Sasuke learn them in a month!?!' Mei asked herself, eyes widening at the performance and skill Sasuke was parading.

It seemed as though Gai and voiced her mental question as Kakashi was answering it.

"Sasuke had his sharingan activated when he fought against Lee. So while training I simply asked him to visualise Lee while we trained. Eventually he was matching Lee perfectly" Kakashi explained. "B-but Tou-San! Lee's moves put a massive physical strain on the body, Lee is used to it so he can keep fighting! Sasuke isn't! Sasuke could get himself killed!" Mei resorted.

"Please, Mei. For once, trust me" Kakashi asked, smiling over his shoulder. Mei nodded and continued watching the battle. She watched with a hard gaze, tracking Sasuke's movements for any strain.

"Mei?" Shikamaru asked, tapping Mei's shoulder. "Yes?" Mei asked sweetly, smiling back at him. Shikamaru blushed lightly before continuing. "W-what did Kakashi mean by that?" He asked. Mei thought for a second, her eyes clouding over in thought.

"I have no idea"

Orochimaru sat next to his former Sensei as he watched Sasuke battle it out with the sand-village Jinchūriki. He had been particularly pleased watching Mei battle it out with one of his subjects, he didn't even feel sorry for the poor bastard that had to battle her. 'Should've dropped out before getting your arm destroyed Dosu' he thought watching the two battle.

He smiled as Gaara closed himself up in a giant sand ball. His smile only widened when his target jumped to the top of the wall and preformed a series of hand signs.

Orochimaru turned his smile to his former Sensei and crackled as Sasuke pierced the giant sand ball.

"What is so funny Kazekage-Sama?" Sarutobi asked. "Nothing much" Orochimaru replied as the arena was filled with a sleeping Genjustu.
