Chapter 7

Deans (pov)

  I wake up and put on some gym shorts and my comfortable tennis shoes. I prefer to train shirtless. I end up all sweaty and taking it off anyways.

I meet Dj in the dining room. He is wearing joggers and a grey muscle tank top. We sit and eat French toast, fruit and bacon. I have a black coffee.

Dj has orange juice. Once we are done we leave for the training grounds. Tanner is waiting outside for us.

  Dj introduces me to him. He really is a sweet kid. They also look adorable together.

My brother has dark hair and Tanner is very blonde with blue eyes. I hope things work out. We will know tomorrow.

I would not wish a rejection on anyone. It is painful and depressing. As we get closer my beasts stir.

I look at Dj. Brother my wolf and dragon are irritable. I think my second chance mate might be here.

  Really Dean, that would be great says Dj. Also brace yourself tattooed jerk off Travis alert says Tanner. I look at the sexy dark haired fit man covered in tattoos walking our way. Shit Dj, I think Travis is my second chance mate.

  He stops in front of the three of us. My hazel eyes flash green.  As I take in the mocha scent of my mate. I look at him straight in the face as my beast growls out mate. He looks shaken.

  He takes a step back. You are my mate but who are you he says. He looks unsure of his self. I am terrified jerk or not. I do not want to be rejected a second time.

  I am Dean, Dj's brother. Who are you. I am Travis but I am sure you know that he says.

  Yes I have been warned about you. He looks upset and goes to turn away. I grab his wrist and electricity runs through my body.

Please I have already been rejected once. If you reject me I may not survive. He looks me in the eye. Really why Travis asks.

She was a 110 year old vampire. Who no longer could wait. She has been with her chosen mate for twenty years. I understood but it still hurt.

  I am not going to reject you. You are fucking hot. I am bisexual but expected my mate to be a woman.

  How will we have children he asks. Plus I am sure you have heard how awful I am. Why would you want to be with someone like me says Travis.

  All my fathers had children. I am sure either of us could probably carry a child. Plus you are my mate. No matter what you will be perfect for me.

Travis blushes, my brother is just observing all of this. Guess you will be the one to tame the beast says Dj. I guess brother.

Parker the head warrior clears his throat. We have a visitor with us. Dean grandson of Jacob Imes front and center says the lead trainer.

  I expect great things from you. Dj has been great and overpowered our star student Travis. We will see what you got today he says.

  Yes sir, I will bring my all. That is a promise. Good to hear. Now all of you start with ten laps then fifty burpees before we spar says Parker.

By the end of training. Dj, Travis, one of the other warriors and myself is left. Parker matches Dj with the warrior and me with Travis. He said since Dj has won all his matches against Travis. He was curious to see how he did against an established warrior.

I was nervous about fighting my mate. I will not give him any slack though. I will never show weakness.

If Dj beat him. I know I should without a doubt. I was more nervous about getting turned on. Who wants everyone to see them with a hard on.

My brother and the warrior faced each other first. It was a close fight. Dj ended up with a busted lip. He actually won in the end. Parker was super impressed.

  Then it was my turn to fight my mate. He was a fierce match. In the end I won like I expected.

Thankfully Parker did not make me fight Dj. He said he figured we are pretty well matched. Especially since we trained together.

Parker also complimented Tanner on improving. He asked him what he changed. Tanner told him he has been training with Dj. Parker said it shows. Keep up the good work.

Parker then dismissed us till tomorrow. Tanner was fussing over Dj's split lip. Seeing my brother blush was to cute. I hope they are mates.

  We then all walk back towards my grandparents place. Dj already told me Tanner lives near them. Travis asked if we could meet up tonight for dinner and to get to know each other.

I agreed and we exchanged our contact information. I also warned him. I will not tolerate cheating.

  I am faithful and expect the same. If I catch you whoring around. I will reject you if it kills me or not. Travis paled in realization.

  I am not seeing anyone currently. From this moment forward. I am yours alone. I swear says Travis. Ok then I will see you later.

We separate I head to my grandparents place. I need a shower and lunch. Dj and Tanner went to Tanners. They are going to train a bit more.

I cannot believe I already found my second chance mate. I hope he is not as bad as Tanner and Dj make him out to be. At training he was rather quiet.

  Definitely not as cocky as Dj said he was. Probably because of meeting me. He seemed like his thoughts were preoccupied.

  He is dam sexy. I enter my grandparents place and my grandmother is cooking lunch. I found my second chance mate. It was Travis.

  We are going to meet for dinner. He accepted me grandmother. I am so relieved. That is great news Dean says my grandmother.

I sit and eat the bacon topped macaroni and cheese she made. I then go to my room to shower. Afterwards I call  Delilah and my parents. They are all so relieved I have a second chance mate.

Delilah tells me she has been getting weird messages. She thinks she has a stalker. My first thought it is that creep Xan that used to bother her.

  I told her as long as things go well with Travis. I most likely will be moving here to Moon River. Also Dj and I plan on visiting Silver moon for Thanksgiving break next month.

She wished me luck. Then my parents congratulated me. After we hang up. I decide to take a nap before meeting up with Travis. I fall asleep easier than I have in weeks.
