Chapter 21

Delilah's (pov)

The next morning. I wake up and put my comfy sweat pants outfit on for the ride. I mine as well be comfortable. I then head downstairs for breakfast.

Grams made banana walnut pancakes and bacon for breakfast. It was delicious as always. Afterwards I grabbed my bags and went outside. Dean and Travis were in a tan SUV waiting for me.

I put my bags in the back and climbed into the front seat. Dean and Travis will take turns driving. However I am not quite ready to be in close proximity to my mate in the back seat.

We then head to the pack house to pick up Tomas. He will be staying at Silver moon for at least two months. Unless my sister Cassandra sees the need for him to train longer.

Where I have two duffle bags. Tomas has a duffle and two suit cases. He will be staying in a guest room at the pack house.

  The next three days. I will be showing him around and introducing him to my family. We will start training with the pack first thing tomorrow.

Travis is excited to get training in to. He wants tips from my sister and her mate Asher. He said he knows that they train bad ass warriors. He wants to see why me and my brothers are so good.

Once we are all settled in the SUV. We start our road trip. I am upfront while Dean drives.

I doze off after a while. I wake up screaming from a nightmare. It was Xan and I was cuffed to that bed while he touched me.

I knew going back was going to be hard. I just did not think it would be this bad. I scared all three men in the car. Dean said we would pull over for lunch soon.

   It would do me some good to eat and stretch out my legs. He also reminded me to talk about it if needed. I told him I wanted Tomas to do therapy with me when he returns to Moon River.

Dean agreed that would be good for me. Tomas said he would do whatever I needed. If it would help me to heal. He wants to be the best mate he can be for me.

Tomas believes the experience he will have at Silver moon. That it will help him grow as a person and mate.  I appreciate everything he is willing to do. He is working hard to earn my trust and respect.

Dean pulls into a Steak 'n Shake for lunch. Ooh I love milkshakes and greasy burgers. Just what I needed after these night terrors. I really hope this PTSD gets better. I know I need help and I will get it.

We enjoyed our lunch. My Frisco melt and chocolate peanut butter cup milkshake was amazing. It is definitely what I needed. I hope I can enjoy visiting my family at least a little bit.

These three days at Silver moon are going to be emotionally draining. I bet I get no sleep at all. I am staying at my sisters. I will need a woman's support. I know Willow and Cassandra will be there for me.

The rest of the ride to Silver moon was uneventful. When we arrived my fathers were waiting for us. Boy did my parents give Tomas the stink eye.

He expected it. He knew after the way we met. Then his reaction to everything my parents were going to be skeptical of him. However they believe in second chances.

Tomas being there is a step in the right direction. It shows he wants to change. He came here knowing they will put him through the wringer.

  He knows when his training starts with Alpha Cassandra that his ass is grass. My alpha mate reacted similar to her mate Asher. Except my mate degraded me on top of underestimating me.

He knows better now. My brothers and I all can defeat him. That is half of why he is here to train. To be Alpha.

  You should be as good as your best warrior. In the end you should be the champion. Otherwise you can be challenged for your position.

Tomas now realizes. Ultimately right now he is not good enough. Nor does he deserve the position as alpha. He definitely will have to work for it.

I am proud of his effort. In no way do I fully forgive him yet. I accept him as my mate. However I am nowhere close to being ready to fully mate yet.

I cannot even be alone with him. When marking each others wrist. I could not handle his touch. I should be loving and want his touch.

Xan ruined that all for me. He took the happiness out of me finding my mate. He made me question myself. Tomas' actions did not help. Now Tomas is willing to put in the work.

A job it will be. To train to the level of being the Alpha he should be. While here he will also learn compassion, respect and what a true leader looks like. Not to boast but my family kicks ass. They are pretty remarkably special people.

    They all faced challenges. They grew and overcame them. I know my mate will do the same. I have seen the potential he has. I know he will be a great leader and Alpha one day.

  Now for him to gain the confidence and training. He will need to be a great Alpha. After the glares from my father's. They shook Tomas' hand while threatening him. I then hugged my dads and told them to give the guy a chance.

We all then headed to the Alphas together. We were having dinner with my sister Cassandra and her two mates. Along with their children and my other family members that still reside in Silver moon.

  I was going to be staying with Cassandra for the next few days. My brother and his mate will be staying at my father's home. My mate will be residing for the next couple months in a guest room at the pack house.

  Starting tomorrow we will all be training while visiting Silver moon. My mate will be training with the warriors five times a week. He will also spend his time divided between Alpha Cassandra, her mate Asher and my father's.

  They all have much to teach him. Tomas actually seems happy to train with them. In the short time I have known him. He seems like he has changed. I truly believe he wants better for his self and his pack.
