Dj's (pov) Dj's outfit

I was relieved and happy. My brother Dean found his second chance mate. However I was also completely shocked it turned out to be Travis. Surprisingly Travis was calm and respectful during training.

I think it was because he was caught off guard. At first Travis tried to walk away from Dean. You could see the fear in Deans eyes. He thought he was being rejected a second time.

  Then Travis explained his self. His concerns were valid. I actually think Dean will be good for him. Dean will not take his shit.

He will put him in his place. Like when Dean said he will reject him if he catches Travis cheating. Even if it means his own death.

  I think that brought Travis to his senses. He sees how serious my brother is about mates. My parents raised us to cherish and respect your mate. They are a blessing however you deserve as much respect as you give.

  I am hoping I am right. I really hope Tanner turns out to be my mate. After Training with the pack. We trained more together at his place.

Afterwards we had lunch together. I then went home to shower and nap. I told him I would see him in the morning at the training field. I wished him an early happy birthday. He said he was looking forward to tomorrow.

I was helping grams with dinner when Dean came downstairs. He looked sharp in cargo shorts and a black muscle shirt with his black Chucks on.

  I wished him luck. I told him he better give me the gossip when he gets home. He told me not to wait up. I gasped, please tell me you are not going to rush into mating and marking that jerk.

Dean growled at me. He may have been a jerk to you. He is still my mate. Have respect Dj.

When he shows me respect. I will ease up on him. Until then I am sorry Dean but your mate has been an ass.

  I am hoping he will be better from now on. We will see. Please Dean be careful with him. I do not want to see you hurt again. Take it slow.

I was joking Dj. We will not fuck on the first night ok. Unlike my man whore of a mate. I was waiting for my other half. I am not just giving that away says Dean.

I am glad to hear that. Now have fun tonight and get to know each other. I will see you in the morning for training.

  Yes I will be there when you wish Tanner a happy eighteenth birthday in the morning says Dean. Thanks it is greatly appreciated Dean.

  I set the table for dinner. Grandma made chicken manicotti, garlic bread and a Caesar salad. Dinner was delicious as usual.

Afterwards I relaxed and watched a movie with my grandparents. We watched Uncle Buck starring John Candy. I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard.

I really needed that after worrying about tomorrow. If I am not Tanner's mate. That means I have to watch him with someone else. In such a short time. I have got so attached.

While I was in my mind. The front door opens and shuts. Grandma and I look at the entrance. It is only after 10pm. I thought Dean would be later.

Hey did everything go alright I ask. Yes we talked about our families and our likes. We enjoyed burgers and fries at that diner in town says Dean. He has a huge smile on his face.

He was a little reluctant at first. He thought I was going to hold everything I heard about him against him. He said once everyone thought he was this macho man whore jerk. It was just easier to act like that person says Dean.
