Chapter 25

Tomas (pov)

I was in a meeting with Alpha Cassandra, her mate Asher and her Beta. We were discussing the updates on Xan's whereabouts.

Halfway through the meeting. Cassandra gets a mind link from my mate Delilah. Cassandra gets dead serious and tells us Delilah is being followed. Luckily she is not alone.

Cassandra then was contacted by Dj and Dean that Tanner mind linked them. That Xan cornered them on their way back to Cassandra's house.

We all met outside of the pack house where we were meeting. We transformed into our animal forms. We then head off to find my mate.

I swear if one hair on my strong sweet mates head is out of place. I am going to tear Xan to shreds. He is the reason for my mates nightmares and distress.

I am hoping once Xan is out of the way. Delilah and I can move forward. Therapy has brought us together.

  We have been making progress. I will continue to be patient. I will try to be whatever she needs me to be.

When we arrive to where Tanner and Delilah are. Xan is lunging towards them. Tanner steps in-front of my mate. Xan bites into his shoulder. Delilah transforms into her wolf and tears Xan from Tanner.

Cassandra and I both run towards Xan. Dj runs to Tanner. While Tristan wraps Delilah in his arms. Cassandra and I give Xan no mercy. He will no longer be able to hurt my mate.

After the threat is dealt with. I am handed some shorts. I then go towards my mate. She flings herself at me. I am completely caught off guard.

   I ask her if she is ok since she was touching me.
I am great. I will still need therapy.

We will need to take it slow. However I am ready to live. Be free and work on our relationship says Delilah.

I am so happy. Now maybe we can move forward. We then check on Tanner. Who is being looked over by her dad Andrew and his worried mate.

Delilah apologizes to her brother for his mate being injured. Delilah any of us would have done the same says Dj. My mate then says she wants a shower and some rest.

Delilah surprises me again. She holds my hand all the way back to her sister's home. We then have a bottle of water in silence.

Afterwards we head to our separate rooms to shower. We both need to rinse the grime and stress away.

  After a while. I head towards the kitchen. I over hear my mate talking to Willow. I am proud of him. This trip has been good for him.

I will miss him while he is here. I want to get back to my job and my grandparents at Moon River says Delilah.

Awe how sweet you are proud of me. Yes I am you have been there for me. I have seen your growth as a man and Alpha. I am finally happy to say Tomas future alpha of the Moon River pack is my mate says Delilah.

Goddess I could kiss you. I know you are not ready for that. I hope you know that melts my heart I say with the goofiest grin. Thank you for being so patient with me says my mate.

  No problem, I told you I would wait. I will support you in whatever way is needed. Willow then asks us to help with dinner. She is making a steak stir fry.

Moments like these are what I am looking forward to. Carefree time with my mate. Her family has been great.

Once Delilah leaves to head back to Moon River. Things are going to be strange. I am going to miss her. I am used to her being around now.

Dinner was nice and relaxed . Most of our stress dissipated with Xan's demise. From now on we can move forward.

The next morning I get up and start my new routine. After training I see Delilah having breakfast with Cassandra and her family.

Cassandra tells me I can have the rest of the day off. Delilah wants me to join her in a therapy session. Afterwards she has somewhere she wants to share with me.

I go shower then join them for breakfast. I am excited to spend time with my mate. Even if it is with a therapist and her family around. I will take whatever I can get.

After the therapy session. Delilah takes me somewhere special. Her fathers used to take her and all her siblings to this cool place.

  It is full of happy childhood memories. As we walk the dirt path. We reach this cute little pond with a willow tree by it.

Delilah sets down a blanket and the basket she brought. We enjoy a light picnic of ham and cheddar sandwiches and chips. She then tells me stories about her childhood.

It is the most relaxed I have ever seen Delilah. It is as a heavy weight has been lifted from her shoulders. She is more relaxed and carefree. She is still a bit jumpy if I touch her without thinking.

  This trip has brought us closer together. I am truly going to miss her when she leaves. I know I need this. Her family can help shape me into the alpha I am meant to be.

After an hour or so of spending time at the pond. We head back to Alpha Cassandra's place. My mate looks exhausted. I think the last couple of days. Is finally catching up to her.

When we arrive at her sisters. We separate with the promise to meet for dinner with her family. I go to get a work out in. Delilah goes to take a nap.
