I go downstairs around 10ish, I've been awake longer than that but I'm overthinking it. Bucky wouldn't have told anyone, he may be an occasional dick but he can keep a secret. I don't know what I'm worrying about so in the end I tell myself to get a fucking grip, get dressed and go downstairs.

When I step into the lift, I'm met with the sight of Steve looking chirpy as usual.

"Morning y/n!" He beams

"Morning Stevie" I smile "I'll never know how you're a morning person"

"It's all it the mind y/n" he was saying as we stepped into the kitchen "believe you're a morning person and you will be a morning per-"

"Steve!" Someone calls.

I look over and see Bucky jogging towards Steve "oh, hi y/n. Is it alright if I borrow Steve for a second?"

"Knock yourself out" I say walking towards the counter to grab some breakfast.

"Cheers"

Bit weird but then again it's them two so I'm not surprised, although I do look back to them and Bucky looks at me and gives me a small smile. A small smile that gives me small butterflies and a small blush creeps up on my cheeks-

"What the fuck y/n? Cut it out?" You think to yourself "You are not blushing at James Buchanan Barnes! Nuh Uh. No way."

You are quickly snapped out of your trance by Natasha asking if you want a drink.

"Yeah, I'll have a cuppa please"

"Urgh, you Brit. Have us coffee like the rest of us!"

You just laughed, Nat always teased you and she always knew what you were thinking unfortunately.

"Were you making eyes at Bucky before?" she asked, as she put a mug down in front of you.

"Wha- No!" You said "As if!"

She just raised an eyebrow.

"Nat, I do not like James Buchanan Barnes. Quite the opposite really, he's a pain in the arse!"

"Then how come I heard you two chatting last night?"

You took a sip of your drink in an attempt to cover the blush you felt creep up on your cheeks.

"Look, I won't force a love confession out of you" she teased "but trust me when I say you'll come to terms with it eventually"

"Sure Romanoff. You keep believing that" you chuckled as you walk of towards the stairs.
