While the avengers sat down around the dining room table to eat, You noticed that Steve and Natasha had sat further away from you, which was weird. I mean not as weird for Steve but definitely for Nat.

While you were busy thinking about what they were up to, you hadn't noticed Bucky come and sit beside you with his plate of food. "Hey" he said, while following your gaze towards the couple. "You okay?"

"Huh?" You replied, turning your head towards him, surprised to see him sitting by you "Oh, yeah I'm fine" you said smiling.

Bucky rolled his eyes playfully "Weirdo". Then laughed as you hit him. "The foods great by the way y/n"

"Really? It's a new recipe so it's a bit risky"

"Are you kidding? I love it! Your cookings the best"

You raised your eyebrows as a smile plastered your face "Did James Buchanan Barnes just compliment me?" You laughed.

"Um, correction. I complimented your cooking"

You chuckled.

"If I was going to compliment you, I wouldn't waste it on your cooking, even though it is delicious. There are too many other things to be said" He spoke quietly.

You looked his straight in his blue eyes, convinced you must've heard him wrong. There was no way he was just flirting with you. Not a chance.

He held your gaze until he chuckled slightly and looked down at your plate. "Eat your food doll, it'll go cold"

Holy fuck. What was happening? Bucky just called you doll? And flirted?! Now you officially really needed to talk to Steve and Nat, they'll know and you'll be able to tell that for definite now. You like James Buchanan Barnes. You melted just then as he was talking to you and for a couple of seconds all you could think was how much you wanted to kiss him and tell him how you felt. Obviously there wasn't a chance in hell, but it didn't stop you from thinking it.
