~ Ebony ~

"I'm so happy!"

"Ebony." Huey groaned as we stood in the middle of my bedroom with me holding him tightly.

"I can't believe it! I mean I can believe it because it's you and Jazmine, but- Ugh! I'm just so happy!"

"If I knew you were going to act like this, I wouldn't of told you."

"Hush." I nudged him playfully before letting him go.

I then smiled. "Huey. This is a good thing."

"I'm not too sure about that." Huey replied as I looked at him confusedly.

"Of course it's a good thing. But I need to be on an even higher alert now. Shadow is still out there, and I can't take his threat lightly-"

"Huey." I interupted him, placing my hands on his shoulders.

"It's okay to be happy."

I know how much my brother loves Jazmine, and that he just wants to protect her.

But I also know that they are made for each other, and now they're finally together.

Huey deserves to be happy about it.

After a few seconds, I saw a very small smirk form on his face.

"There it is." I giggled.

"I am happy, Ebony." "Then don't be afraid to show it." I told him, pulling him into another hug.

Riley walked past, pausing in the doorway.

"...Wassup wit y'all?"

"Huey and Jazmine are together!" I beamed, unable to contain my excitement.

"Psh. Finally." Riley rolled his eyes before walking towards the stairs. "GRANDDAD! What we got ta eat!?"

"His reaction I prefer." Huey stated as I chuckled. "Okay, okay." I released him once again.

"I should get to school. Make sure you rest today. You're still recovering." He started to walk towards the doorway.

I nodded. "I will. Oh, and Huey?" I called as he turned back to look at me.

"Stay away from Jacob. We don't need you getting expelled." I joked.

Huey scoffed. "As long as he stays away from me." He said as I chuckled, but only slightly.

"Are you doing okay?" He then asked as I smiled softly.

"I'm getting there."

Huey gave me one final nod before walking out and closing the door.

I heard my phone chime as I walked over to my bed, picking it up.

I smiled, seeing a text from Caesar.

All I've been able to think about is last night.

How Caesar came over to see me.

Then how he confessed his feelings for me.

I can't help but blush at the thought.

But mainly what's on my mind is how he stayed with me after Jacob came.

*

I let out a soft sigh as my head rested in Caesar's chest.

We stood at the door, his arms still wrapped around me.

I had stopped crying a while ago, but he just continued to hold me.

If I'm being honest, I don't want him to stop.
