I sneezed as I walked down the stairs of my house, my backpack over my shoulder.

I sneezed again, walking towards the kitchen to see my aunt as I grabbed an apple from the table.

Aunt Marissa stopped her cooking, turning to me with a hand on her hip.

"Didn't I tell you to stay in bed?"

"Aunty, I'm fine." I reassured her, taking a bite out of my apple.

"You're sick." "I'm fine. Didn't I rest all day yesterday like you asked?" I responded as she rolled her eyes.

"Boy, don't sass me."

I chuckled. "Aunty, I promise you, I feel fantastic." I smiled, taking another bite.

I really do feel fantastic.

I feel amazing.

All I've been able to think about is Ebony.

Kissing Ebony.

In the rain at that.

I grinned just thinking about it.

Something out of a damn movie.

In all honesty, I don't care that I'm sick. I haven't seen Ebony since Saturday and all I want is to see her.

And kiss her.

Damn, I love her.

I love her so much.

"Hey." My aunt called me as I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Hm?"

"What are you grinning about over there?" She asked curiously.

I only smiled before I kissed her cheek.

"I'm gonna be late." I said, starting to walk towards the door.

"At least take some soup!"

"Love you!" I waved before walking out the door.

I groaned as I walked down the hallway of my school, seeing a long line behind a table up ahead.

I can't believe I'm here early to buy homecoming tickets.

Believe me, if it wasn't for Jazmine, I would not be doing this.

However, this is something that will make her happy, and I love seeing her happy.

As I stepped to the back of the line, I quirked my eyebrow.

"Cindy?"

She then turned around to face me. "Oh, wassup McHater?"

"You're going to homecoming?" I asked as she rolled her eyes. "I know, it ain't my style but Jazzy is so annoyin' 'bout all of us goin'." She explained as I nodded.

"I'm buying tickets for me and Reezy." She said before smirking at me.

"Guess Jazzy suckered you too, huh?"

"That she did." I groaned as Cindy snickered. "Dats gon' be funny. Seein' you dance."

"I am not dancing." I emphasized in a serious tone.

"Yeah yeah, we'll see." She smirked as I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, ain't no way I'm waitin' in dis damn line." Cindy then sucked her teeth proceeding to push past people up ahead.

"Aye, lemme through! Back up! Damn!"

I shook my head as I then looked to see someone approaching from the front of the line.
