Walking into the pub holding Jacobs hand, she felt everyone's eyes on them. She clocked every girl's eyes on Jacob and she wanted to gouge every pair out. 

"Go on then you two. Go pick up a girl." She looked at her two cousins who looked weird. She wasn't used to seeing them dressed so stylish or neat. Their hairs combed within an inch of its life, clean shaven and smelling like aftershave not manure. 

Sitting beside Jacob he lent forward and kissed her. The groans of disappointment echoed around them. 

Her grandma tapped her shoulder. 

"Go on lass." She pointed to the stage. 

She climbed up and took the mic. The room went quiet as she sang her grandpappy's favourite song in Irish gaelic. 

Sitting back down, Jacob took her hand and kissed it. 

"I didn't understand a word of what you just sang but I felt it. I love you baby girl." His lips took hers. 

An hour later she looked through the karaoke song list and found a song. Going up she spoke to the guy loading the machine. 

"I'd like to sing this song. It's not one you may know but I want to dedicate it to my boyfriend Jacob." She told the crowd. 

Jacob smiled at her. 

The music started and she began to sing. 

'I can't count the times,
