Jacob's pov

Slowly opening his eyes he blinked against the morning sun.
Alexis wasn't there again, he wondered where she may be. Getting out of bed and going to the bathroom, he emptied himself and washed his hands before pulling on trackies and going to find her.
She wasn't in the kitchen but the door to the rear garden was open. Stepping out he saw her swinging on a makeshift swing from one of the branches on a huge oak tree.

Leaning against the door frame he smiled as he watched her smile, throwing back her head as the breeze took her hair, blowing it freely around her.
Her laughter was like sweet music. She was so different from the tears she was shedding in the shower last night.
He wondered what had caused her to be so tearful?
"Schmetterling." He called, and she waved.
Slowly the swing came to a light movement and she jumped off running up to him.
"Morning. You want breakfast?" She kissed his cheek.
"No. You." He lifted her and carried her to the bedroom.

After making love to her he told her he had to return to Germany the next day.
"So can we spend the day alone today?"
"I know just the place." She smiled pushing away from him. "I'll pack us some food. Did you bring swimming trunks? No matter. We can swim naked." She told him as she pulled a silk robe around her before walking out of the door.
Dressing he tapped his jacket pocket. A smile pulled at his lips as she came back in and dressed herself before pulling him towards an old jeep

Alexis pov

She loved this place. Not many people came here due to the trek to get there. But she was sure Jacob could manage it.
After parking the jeep behind a large bush, she led him up and over some rocky terrain till her quiet spot came into view.
A beautiful clear pool, surrounded by large foliage and a small waterfall.
"Swim?" She peeled off her clothes and waded in.
From the corner of her eye she watched him hurriedly strip off his clothes and followed her.
"Shit it's cold." He pulled her against him.
"Good job I'd seen little Jake before he shrivelled." She laughed.

They swam and messed around for a while then climbed out and wrapped themselves in towels and they ate the food she had prepared.
"Lexi about last night. Why were you crying? Don't say it was soap. I had seen you hadn't even got shampoo in your hair."
He moved her wet hair off her face.
"I heard you. What you asked."
"And it upset you? Why?" He nibbled on an apple.
"It scared me. I don't want to do something and then if things go wrong we both get hurt." He sighed and moved closer to her. "I know we have known each other for a while, and have started, over the past few years, to know each other better but we still don't really know each other. If you get my drift."
"How about we spend more time together. If I've nothing on with the boys I'll spend that time with you. We can have date nights. Plus remember what grandma said. She married your grandpappy and they were apart for months at a time. We will be apart for sure, but God the time we will have when we are together." He grinned.

He lent her backwards onto the soft grass and kissed her.
"Would we tell people? I mean not just family and friends. You know, when it happens."
He lifted his head and looked at her.
"Tell you what. How about I stay at yours with you and we will learn more about each other that way." He pulled away her towel. "Like I'll see how you like to do everyday things and you can see how incredibly grumpy I get if woken when I don't want to be." He laughed. "Unless of course I get woken with your lips or p***y around me."
She hit him, pushed him away and ran to the pool, diving in laughing. Looking back he stood there in all his glory, his e******n standing proud.
