"So why were you holding her hand?
Is that the way we stand?
Were you lying all the time?
Was it just a game to you?"

14 HOURS AGO:

It was safe to say I had spent the rest of the day sulking, idly watching as Yuki and the kids raided my pantry, taking advantage of my lack of motivation to do anything.

I mean, the least I can do is thank her for keeping them entertained whilst I was busy sulking.

"If you keep frowning like that, you're gonna look old and wrinkly by the time you're 25." Yuki tossed me a packet of strawberry pocky.

I aggressively ripped the packet open, grabbing a pocky stick from the box to angrily chew on.

"He's taking her to Italy. Italy..." I slouched further against the island, cupping my face in my palms.

"It's been 4 hours, N/N..."

"Do you think he's going to use that super fast jet he owns? Are they gonna have to spend the night?" I began to overthink the multiple scenarios that could occur.

Scenarios that bothered me.

What if-

Slap.

My head was now snapped aggressively to my left, and I was sure as hell wide awake.

'Did she just...slap me?' I thought to myself, looking back at my blonde friend, who seemed weirdly determined.

"Uhh...what was that for?" I rubbed my face that was now reddening at the impact.

Yuki hummed, standing up from her slouched position, abandoning her pocky in the middle of the huge expanse known as the kitchen island.

"You could either keep feeling sorry for yourself, or you could actually make a difference; I know my friend doesn't let herself get put down like that!" She lectured, her hands on her hips.

"Make a change to what? I don't-" I tried to answer, eventually being cut off by the blonde's finger over her lip, effectively silencing me.

"You could keep denying it, but I know you like him. There's literally nothing you could say or do to make me think otherwise," She smirked, watching as I shrunk back in my seat.
