I am currently walking to the Armed Detective Agency with Kunikida. Everything is going exactly the opposite of what i planned.
"So, why am i coming along?"
I ask as we walk.

"I don't know either. Dazai is always doing unpredictable things. However he knows whats going on, so if he told me to take you along, there must be a reason."
Kunikida sounds a bit skeptical about this as well.

At first i disagreed to go along, because obviously my initial plan was to stay as far away from both the ADA and PM as possible, but i was bribed with a job opportunity. Dazai said that he would help me find a job, which i definitely needed if i am going to stay here for the time being.

So i agreed. I mean yOU CANT BLAME ME. I am not planning to stay homeless.

As we walked past a cafe, i turn my head to look at the cafe, only to see my own reflection in the glass.
I froze.
'Wait...'
I looked at myself surprised.
'I look...different'

I stared at my reflection for a few seconds. Forgetting about the concerned Kunikida behind me.

'But...my clothes are the same from when i was in the hospital. Did i enter someone else's body? Then how did my clothes not change?'
I was utterly confused.

'Moreover, whose body did i enter? I don't remember seeing this character in the anime.'

"Are you okay?"
Kunikida raises an eyebrow.
"Ah yes."
"This cafe is famous for its caramel macchiato"
Kunikida says as he reads it off of his
Notebook.

Oh? Did he just say caramel macchiato? Hehehe....
"Baby baby geudaeneun-"

"Let's just go we don't have time for this"
Kunikida starts walking, seemingly tired.
"Yes sir"
I mumble and follow behind him.
What? That song is a banger. It's not my fault. I am not embarrassed.

We reach the ADA. I was actually kind of excited. Because how often do you get to see your favourite anime characters?

As we walk in, the members were doing all kind of things.
Ranpo was eating snacks with his legs on the table. Yosano was talking to Kenji.

"You guys are not working???"
Kunikida sighs.
"What? Work? Thats boringgg"
Ranpo says popping a gummy in his mouth.
'He is so cute what'
Ah i didn't mention it before, did i? Ranpo is one of my most favourite characters. And seeing him in the person...

'Dontfaintdontfaintdontfaintdontfaint.'
I keep chanting in my head as i stiffen up just a little.

"Huh? Who is that?"
Yosano raises an eyebrow, one hand on her waist.
I look at her.
'OH MY GOD YOSANO'
I keep a hand on my mouth.
'I might as well just fall in love with everyone here because oh my-'

"It's a long story."
Kunikida rubs his forehead.

Kenji skips to me holding my hands, his eyes were practically sparkling.
"Are you gonna be a new member? What is your name???"

"I'm Y/N"
I smile. Kenji is so precious. No one can ever hate him.
"She is not joining the agency."
Kunikida folds his arms.
"Aw man"
Kenji leaves my hands.
I giggle.
"I don't even have an ability."

"But Kunikida, Why is she here? Is this related to the weretiger case?"
Ranpo inquires.
"It kind of is. I will tell you all later, Right now we need to go to the warehouse."
Kunikida shows them all the note Dazai gave him. They inspect the note and prepare to go.

I just look at them do their thing. What was i supposed to do anyway? I don't even know what i am doing here. I feel like the forgotten friend in a friend group honestly. But the work was important, i was aware of it. So I don't mind the lack of a "hi".

I walk out of the ADA building first. I stand infront of gate slowly lifting my head to the sky.
'The sky here is clearer than the sky at my dimension...it's beautiful. The stars are so pretty...'
I stare at the stars in awe, suddenly thinking about how i didn't even get to say goodbye to my parents and my bestfriend. It all happened so unexpectedly. I am still processing half of the things.

"Woof woof"
I turn my head towards the voice. It was a dog, just standing near my leg.
I extend my hand to pet it. It was welcoming of the love and he woofed happily.
I laughed.
"You're so cute. You don't seem starved. Has someone been taking care of you?"
I talk to the dog as if it can respond.

'It doesn't look like a pet dog. The people here probably feed it.'
"You're a stray dog huh..."
Stray dog.....
Bungo stray dogs....
