Another dream?

I'm sitting here, wide eyed, zoning out. I have no idea what just happened and what i just saw.
'What....was that?'

*Half an hour ago*

After returning back to the ADA and handing both Tanizaki and Naomi over to Yosano for treatment, I decided to talk to Atsushi. I was worried, obviously, he was terrified to say the least. Mans literally has a bounty on himself. So i thought maybe i should help him cheer up a little.

I stood outside the room where Atsushi and kunikida were already talking. Not wanting to intervene and also feeling extremely tired, i decided to go and take a small nap.

And so i did, i sat on a chair in the office, no one was there. It wouldn't hurt to just rest.

It didn't take me long to fall asleep. It usually takes me quite a while but i guess i was just that tired.

'I hate mornings.'
'I really do.'
'Why is it so bright?'
I cover my face with my blanket and slam my hand on the alarm to turn it off. It's so damn annoying.

Uncovering my face and sighing out loud, I sit up in my bed, probably looking like an old hag. Who even looks like a fairy right after they wake up anyway? Must be someone god-sent.

After lazily brushing my teeth, I look out my window to see the doggo already waiting for me. I smile at it.

It was the dog i fed everyday, i just randomly found it outside my apartment after i came back from grocery shopping one day. It looked so sad, my heart just could not take it. I gave it food that day and after that, he just started hanging out around my house, so i just decided i was gonna feed it. I wasn't financially stable enough (or old enough) to take it in, after all.

I lived in an apartment because i was studying for highschool in Yokohama, away from my parents. So they got me an apartment here. Right now my summer break was going on.

Anyway, back to the dog, I get some milk and bread for it from the kitchen.
I step outside only to see the pup dog wasn't even there.

Furrowing my eyebrows, getting slightly worried, i keep looking around. Finally, i spotted its tail at the corner of the path.
'There it is!'

I run up to it only to see it being already fed by...a ginger?

That boy, who was bending down, fondly smiling at the dog which was eating some biscuits, looked up at me and stood up as if he saw a rat on the ground. He seemed embarrassed?

I say
"Who are you?"
Oops, i didn't want it to come out so blunt.

I looked at the boy, short hair, leather jacket on a hoodie, jeans, hands in his pockets and a seemingly big attitude.

"Hah? What? This pitiful thing looked hungry, i just gave it food."
He looked away, holding his chin up.

'Ah so he is a tsundere....'
I sigh.
"Just say you wanted to feed the dog, no need to be so rude. You clearly like dogs."

He snapped his head at me.
"No? Who said that? I don't like dogs! They're so....dirty."
He said, clearly hesitating.

I just roll my eyes and put the bowl of milk infront of the dog and it barked at me, happily ofcourse.
I then looked back up at the stranger, who looked the same age as me, and said,
"you know it's okay to like dogs right?"

"Shut up you're annoying."
He said that like he was rapping.

I blink.
'I am too sleepy for this today.'

"Do you give it food everyday?"
He asked suddenly.

I nod and he looked at me for a while before saying
"We are over feeding it."

I raised my eyebrows.
"What? Wait hold on, you mean you are feeding it everyday too? ALL three times?"

He just looked at me silently and i looked back at the dog.
"This greedy little...."
I looked back at him.
"Okay let's take turns then?"

"Take turns?"

"Yeah like uhh assign each other days or something? Let's alternate days to feed it."

I swear i saw his eyes sparkle a little bit at the suggestion, but ofcourse, this tsundere goes,
"Tsk, when did i even  say i wanted to feed it? Do you really think i-"

I deadpan at him.

"...I am taking Monday, Wednesday and Friday."

I give him a thumbs up
"Deal, I'm taking Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Sunday it always gets food from all the neighbourhood anyway."

I extend my hand towards him
"Y/n by the way."

He looks at my hand for a while, as if contemplating something, in the end, he does not shake my hand and keep it in his pocket.
"Nakahara Chuuya."

I awkwardly retreat my hand and clear my throat.
"Well then Chuuya, don't slack off."

He scoffed.
"You care about yourself, y/n."

*Present*

That was a dream. But it looked so real....
No way, are these the memories of the person whose body i'm in....?
But it was my name.
What the hell? Did we share the name? Is that why i was reincarnated in her body?

"Ugh...."
I held my hands up to my head.
'There's that weird tingly pain again.'

'Wait, that means Dazai already knows me?! That dream before the one i had just now... '

Hold on, wait i need to think about it. This is so weird. It's only like my second day. Maybe there's more to it.

"What are you doing?"
A voice called from the door, i look at it, it was Ranpo.

"Oh, nothing, i was just taking a nap."
I say as i stand up from the chair.

"Really? Because same, i am here to do just that."
He threw a candy at me and i barely caught it, as he went up to his desk, his legs on the table and he leaned back into the chair.

"You look troubled."
He added.

"I mean if you suddenly get dragged into a detective agency without a choice, you would be troubled too, no?"
I joke to cover it up. Who was I kidding? It's Ranpo.

He observed me for a while and yawned.
"Yeah, valid. I'm gonna sleep. Wake me up when Kunikida comes, i don't want to be nagged at."

I laughed. "Alright."
