Not my chocolate

we arrive after the warehouse to see Atsushi laying on the floor and Dazai casually standing infront of him facing us. His face and hair looking brighter and more vibrant in the light shining on him by the moon.

Kunikida runs to him first.
"Hey! Dazai!"

"Oh? You're late, Kunikida. I have captured the tiger."
Dazai turns around to look at Atsushi.

Kunikida looks at Atsushi too, his glasses reflecting the moonlight but he still looked like he just walked out from a shower, because of how much his face was glowing.
"What? Its this boy?"

"He has the ability to turn into a tiger"

"Jeez"
Kunikida sighs and holds up a note.
"What's with this note"

Dazai starts reading the note leaning to it.
"A tiger will appear in the warehouse in the fifteenth district. Secure the perimeter so that it can't escape. Keep the Lady close to you."

Dazai smiles
"It's an excellent, concise note"

Kunikida lowers the note.
"you've left out the most important detail! Next time explain in advance. Because of you i had to bring the guys who weren't even on duty."
Dazai looks at the door, or should i say, looks at us.

We......well they, walk towards him and I follow behind.
"Take them out for drinks later."

"What? No casualties? How boring"
Yosano says with a hand on her hips.
I notice her butterfly clip shining in the moonlight. Her face being illuminated.

"You've come a long way Dazai."
I look away from Yosano to look at Ranpo. His side was facing me, and I could see his hair glistening, they looked soft and glossy.
"But you still have a long way to go to compare to me."
Ranpo supports his hat with his finger and smiles smugly.

Kenji bends down to the level of Atsushi.
"But what do we do with him? He doesn't know what he was doing right?"
Kenji raises his eyebrows looking at Dazai and Kunikida. His eyes were shining bright, the bluish white colour of the moonlight perfectly contrasting with his yellow coloured eyes.

"I have already decided"
Dazai moves his eyes to look at Atsushi and he thinks for a while.

"We will make him one of us"

.
.
"Are you serious?"
Yosano was the first one to speak.
"You are a real idiot Dazai."
Said ranpo while pouting.
"HAH??? What gives you the right to decide that?!!"
Kunikida flaps his notebook up and down in anger, stomping his foot against the ground.
"There there."
Kenji pats Atsushi's head seeming to console him.
I sweatdrop at the scene and bend towards Atsushi too.

"Hear me out, i am not done."

Kunikida stops flapping his notebook and everyone looks at Dazai as he said that, including me.

Dazai looks at me.
I look at him.
He smiles and walks to me, taking my hand to make me stand back up.
He puts an arm around my shoulder and faces the other members.
I furrow my eyebrows trying to comprehend what he was doing.
"She is joining too."

I blink. And i blink again. And then push myself off.
"Nuh uh"
I shake my head left and right.

"Dazai on what basis are you making this decision? She doesn't even have an ability! And we have never seen her show any signs of extraordinary talent! She has spoken like ten words ever since we met her too!"
Kunikida hangs his head low.

'Ouch, no talent? Hey i have the talent of procrastinating you know'
I very subtly pout.

"Just trust me Kunikida."
Dazai smirks and looks at me again.

"Why do you not want to join the ADA? I doubt you have any place to go. You can stay with us until i find you a job."

'Hold up. Wait a minute. Is the job he is mentioning...by any chance is it being one of the detectives? Oh nah he is trying to trick me.'
I cross my arms.
"I will figure out a way. I want to politely decline your offer, thank you."

Dazai leans towards me with his hands in his pockets and whines.
"Whyyyyy??? Come onnnn"

"Well, for the exact reasons Kunikida mentioned. Also i am not interested."

"Atleast SOMEONE has senses here."
Kunikida rolls his eyes.

Dazai leans further closer to me and i see his playful expression fading into a serious one. He comes closer and whispers in my ear.
"Y/N L/N, not from here. You like dogs as much as you like cats, don't you?"
I gasp and widen my eyes.
"you already knew what was going to happen, who the tiger was. You even knew i figured it out moment i met him. Am i wrong?"
I could feel him smirking by the way he whispered.
"And you have a huge stash of just chocolates under your bed"
I pause.
'WHAT? How does he know that? That was back at home! Oh no! Is my chocolate stash safe???'

I close my eyes.
'Shit. I should've ran sooner'
I sigh.
"Fine. You got me."
I whisper back as I open my eyes back.
"please don't eat my chocolate."

He laughs.
"you haven't changed one bit"

I look at him confused.
'What does he mean by that?'

Dazai stands straight back up and looks at me, putting on a smile again.
"Let me ask you again. Would you like to join the ADA?"
He extends his hand towards me.

I hesitate for a moment and gulp. I eventually extend my hand to shake his.
"Yes"

He then holds both of my shoulders and makes me face the other members.

"Better introduce yourself properly you know!"

I observe each of the members.
Yosano looked a bit confused.
Kunikida was still angry but he accepted it nonetheless.
Ranpo though, he had an amused glint in his eyes.
'Ah he figured it out didn't he?'
I deadpan.
Kenji was the only one looking excited.
"YES!!"
He exclaimed.

I smiled and brought up my hand to wave at all of them awkwardly.

A shuffling noise was heard from where Kenji was.
Looks like Atsushi was waking up.
Everyone turned their attention to the sleeping tiger on the floor.

"....huh?"
Atsushi opens his eyes and slowly gets up from his lying position to kneel on the floor.

"Do you remember nothing at all from when you transformed?"
Dazai inquired.

"What are you talking about?"
Atsushi's eyes wandered over to me and i give him a thumbs up claiming i was fine.

"Oh, but your right hand is still transformed"
Dazai points to Atsushi's right hand.

Atsushi slowly brings up his right hand and looks at it. Opening and clenching his fist..er....paw. He observes it for a Few seconds....

"EHHHHHHHHH?!?!?"
He shouts, panicking.
"WHAT IS THIS? WHAT THE HELL? WHAT?!"

"Nakajima Atsushi!"
Dazai calls out. Atsushi stops.

"From this day forth, You will become a member of the Armed Detective Agency"
Dazai gives him a smile.

Atsushi looks at him surprised and then suddenly furrows his eyebrows.
"Huh?"

'Pft- same Atsushi'

Atsushi then looks towards me, giving me a skeptical look. I smile and nod at him, reassuring him.
He still looked confused about it, but smiled back at me and then at the members.

"I will be honored to join."
