"Just the two of us?" I ask, my mind going crazy with all sorts of thoughts I wouldn't dare to say aloud. "Yeah, if that's alright with you." I can barely stop myself from rolling my eyes, "Of course it is, in fact... I wouldn't have it any other way." I wink at him and he blushes bright red, I can't help but smile when he looks like that. "You know, I'll need to set my equipment up somewhere." There are two rooms and a living area in our new apartment and I'm pretty sure he knows what I'm saying. "Oh, well I don't mind sharing a room. We can just get another bed, for now though we can take turns on the couch." So, either he doesn't know what I'm saying or he's playing innocent, I'm going to go with the latter. I let out a slightly frustrated sigh, "Or..." He looks at me, daring me to say what we're both thinking. "Or?" He lifts an eyebrow and puts on a hardly-serious expression. This time I do roll my eyes, "Or we could just share the bed."Mello
"Well, I never thought of that." I say, sarcasm dripping off of my every word. It is a double after all. "So, it's settled then." He's got a satisfied smirk on his face now, "Don't get too cocky Jeevas, I'd hate for the couch to get lonely." He chuckles, making his eyes shine. I love the way he looks when he laughs, I guess it's a good thing that he laughs so much. I heard once that laughing makes you live longer, therefore Mail Jeevas is officially immortal. It's a good thing too, because if he were to die I'd bring him back just to yell at him for being an idiot and dying without permission. I smile at my own thoughts for a moment. "Earth to Mello!" He's waving his hands in front of my face like an idiot. I clear my throat, trying to clear my thoughts, "Uh... Sorry, I was just thinking about something." I'm smiling again, I can't help it. "What were you thinking about?" He asks, a confident smirk on his face. "Your funeral." I say and he laughs again. "Too bad for you that I'm going to live forever." You'd better.Matt
He's staring into space again. He's lost in his own thoughts today. "You need to unpack, Mells." He shakes his head as if he's trying to get water out of his ears, "Oh, uh... Yeah. I'll go do that then." He goes to get his things and I just look at him and shake my head. I wonder what he was thinking about... I continue setting up my game consoles and chargers, carefully separating the wires and plugging things into their designated spots. After about ten minutes of struggling with a particularly hard knot I pull my goggles down and settle them around my neck, "You should take them off more often, you've got really nice eyes." I turn, a little startled. I didn't hear him come back in, "Thanks?" It sounds like a question, mostly because I wasn't expecting the compliment. It dawns on me that I don't really remember what color they are, I've always got my goggles on. "What color are they?" I ask, realizing only after the words escape my mouth how ridiculous it must sound. "How do you not know the color of your own eyes?" I shrug, a little embarrassed and turn back to the mess of wires. After a long pause he says, "They're green... but not just green. They're green like a forest right after it's rained, like the first plant that sticks out of the snow after a long winter, like... I can't describe them properly. They're like emeralds, but there's something else there. Something makes them look like they could see into your soul but only if you'd let them, you know? They look like the home you never really had." I whip my head around again, surprised by his answer. He isn't looking at me, he's looking up at something that I can't see.
Mello
"Yeah, I guess they're like that. You'd have to see them to really know what they look like though." I look at him now, he's staring at me with his mouth open like he wants to say something but he can't find the words. "What? What's with the face?" He closes his mouth and looks away, a light blush on his cheeks. "N-nothing, thanks... I guess." He looks at the wires on his lap again, fiddling with a knot. I go over and sit next to him, picking up a few of the wires and trying to untangle them. We say nothing for a long time, when we finish untangling wires and setting up all of his stuff he looks at me with a funny look on his face. "Thanks." He says, but I'm pretty sure he's not thanking me for the help. "It's okay, I've been meaning to do it anyway." I say, also not talking about the wires. He's got this big, goofy smile on his face, "Yeah."
