In a dark forest, surrounded by beautiful foliage and the sound of leaves rustling, there were two legendary beings; The Jiu Wei Hu and the Monkey King.

With a tent, a bonfire, and the provisions they had brought for the journey, they had made up a little camp.

They finally had the chance to take in the serene environment of the forest after spending the entire day searching for anything that may provide them with a single hint related to her.

The moon casted a soft glow over the trees while the stars twinkle brilliantly overhead.

Beautiful; The one word to describe what they're experiencing right now.

Monkey King came towards the bonfire, kneeling down in front of it, and gazed at the flames while considering their next course of action.

He wasn't bothered by the silence; In fact, it was kind of calm. The animals and birds may have left, but the moon was still beautiful as always.

Jiu Yuzhou noticed him sitting alone and decided to approach him cautiously (though still considering what to say).

She doesn't bother hiding her true appearance because there are only two of them here, displaing two, fluffy fox ears and silken nine tails.

To them, everything felt so comforting.

"Are you alright, King?" Yuzhou spoke in her typical motherly tone as she gazed up at the sky; The stars shone brightly and there were hardly any clouds in the sky.

The unexpected voice had made the simian jolt, rapidly turning his head to face her in alert.

However when he discovered it was Yuzhou, he breathed out with relief and plastered a small smile on his lips, "Sorry, I didn't realize you were still awake."

Sighing, he turned to face the sky too, copying her gesture, "I'm alright, Yuu. I just... don't want to sleep yet."

"I suppose it's the silence that makes it easier for me to think here. It calms me down." He explained to the woman with a small shrug of his shoulders.

However, Yuzhou could hear the exhaustion in his voice and his eyes were quite drooping. He was lying; Obviously carrying a heavy emotional burden that felt like it was crushing him.

He might deceive everyone, but Jiu Yuzhou, his best friend, is not one of them.

"I know you too well for me to believe you're alright." Yuzhou chuckle in response.

Knowing that he doesn't have to pretend to be someone else while he's with her certainly helped him relax slightly.

He immediately dropped his shoulders, allowing all of the burden he had been carrying mentally to fall upon it.
