NICHOLAS POV

As soon as I heard the sound of gunshot, my body automatically alert my instinct to protect her.

Her

A complete stranger who basically hates me for some reason. I didn't open her fist intentionaly , neither I shared her the small details about my wife because I wanted to explain my action.

It was my instinct as well.

Instinct to protect this stranger no matter what.

Call me delusional, I don't give a flying fuck.

In the last 5 year I never met anyone who will question my everything. She makes me curious about her mysterious nature.

She has something, something which is testing my restraints.

Back to present time.

I didn't thought twice when I shield her with my body and pushed her behind the tree to protect her.

I am holding her as if my life depends on it.

I cannot let anything to her again.

I kept on looking at her eyes as if she will be taken away from me any moment.

I don't know what she saw in face or did she realise I am actually panicking, she stoped thrashing .

Her eyes for the first time looks different. Although her eyes isn't brown like Naomi but it holds a vulnerable touch to it.

I don't know whether she realise that her face is full of emotions for the first time.

Her hold tighten around my shirt and her lips tremble.

I pulled her body to me, placing her head on my Chest. My heart is beating too fast that it hurts at this point.

I don't know how long I kept on holding her to me. But I don't want to give up warmth I felt any time soon.

"Kenna, Kenna!! " I heard voice of Keith and that broke the spell .

Kenna pushed me away and angrily stares at me, what did I do now!!

"What?? " I asked irtitated by her attitude.

"NEVER!! I mean it Mr Dawson, NEVER. EVER. TOUCH. ME" Kenna turned away and left me standing.
