Ela's pov

Bill finally came and greeted his parents.

He sat right next to me. "Nervous?" He asked whispering into my ear. I simply nod. "They love you" he adds. I look at him. "I can tell" he says. I smile at him as a thank you.

"So we wanted to go to see the HOLLYWOOD sign tomorrow" Simone says. "Never been there" Tom says back. "Really?" She asks. "You have been here for so long" she says. "Yeah but I have been busy" Tom says. His hand on my thigh. "With what?" She asks. "I thought you guys were taking a break" she adds.

Don't you dare to say me, Tom.

"Yeah well you know" he says giving his mother a look. I kick his leg slightly under the table, I see him smiling at it, not looking at me.

Simone doesn't say anything. I guess she understood.

"So would you come with us?" She asks. Tom looks at me, if I'm alright with it. I nod. "Yeah sure" he says. "Bill?" Simone asks turning to Bill. "Mom as much as I would love to, you know I'm not build for that" he says.

"Bill I'm not either I have never been sightseeing" I say. "What?" Simone asks me shocked.

"Why not?" "You lived in New York, there is many amazing places" she says. "I didn't really have the time or the money" I say. "Oh why is that" she asks.

I don't know what to say.

"Mom leave it" Tom says. Simone looks at me with face full of sympathy. "Sweetheart I didn't mean to-" she says. "No it's alright I just don't like to talk about it" I say. "I understand" she says smiling at me.

Next day

Ela's pov

"Why did I agree to this" I say. "Ela you act like it's some marathon" Tom says. "feels like one" I say back. Tom just laughs at me. "Getting out of the apartment is good for you" he says. "Ever since you quit your job you haven't been anywhere" he says.

"We are almost there" Simone calls out.

"I can't" I stop. "I'm sorry but I just can't" I say.

Tom turns around walking back to me. "Get on" he says turning his back to me.
I get on his back, his hands around my thighs.

"You are unbelievable" he says chuckling. 
"Mhm" I say with my head against his back.

Tom's pov

I'm used to hikes like theese. I mean this is nothing but I do understand why Ela is tired.
Plus my mom and dad are pretty active so they go really fast. Its hard to keep up with them.

"Just don't fall asleep please" I say to her. "I will try" she says.

Ela's pov

We finally arrived at the HOLLYWOOD sign.

Tom puts me down. "Bet you are real tired" he says. I just smile at him innocently.

Timeskip

We finally got home. Tom's mom secretly gave me her number, because its his birthday in a week and she want to surprise him.

The next morning she texted me to meet her at twelve because she wanted to show me the place for the party. So I agreed.

"Tom I'm going to the studio alright?" I say. "Can I come with?" He asks. "No" I say. He looks at me weirdly. "I mean I would love to but I always feel awkward when someone watches me" I add trying to save the situation. "You feel awkward around me?" He asks. "No" "I didn't mean it like that" I say. "But I want to get it done as soon as possible" I say. "Oh ok" "I get it" he says. "Thanks" I say kissing him on my tippy toes, then walking away.
