Worst is yet to come

Chapter 8

Taehyung shook heavily against the toilet door behind him as the leader knelt next to him with Namjoon's belt in hand. He barely registered the pain in his leg anymore, since his senses were flooded with pure panic and fear after seeing someone literally stabbed to death in front of him. The same man who had immobilized Jungkook with a knife pressed against his throat and kicked an already badly injured Namjoon in his stomach without any remorse. But also the one who had caused the gaping hole in his own thigh where blood was streaming down in a rapid pace. Pain was all he knew at the moment, for himself as well as for his brothers around him.

The kidnapper slapped Taehyung's hands away and unfolded the belt to wrap it around the injured limb. The second youngest was holding his breath as he watched the man's hands, that were clumsily trying to attach the belt but was failing miserably because of the amount of blood that kept pouring out . The older man grunted in annoyance and wiped his right hand on his trousers, causing one of the two remaining attackers to step closer in an attempt to help.

But then suddenly something happened at the other side of the restroom as Jungkook shot on his feet and ran for the door.

"FUCK!" the leader cursed. The man immediately stood up and threw the bloodied belt behind him, hitting Jimin's prone form who was resting on the floor. "GO AFTER HIM!!"

The two other kidnappers however looked terrified at the leader, and stood frozen in shock. They were holding their hands in the air as if the police was pointing guns at them, causing the smallest man to curse even more loudly and grabbing his gun while he sprinted for the door.

"No don't hurt him!" Taehyung screamed when he saw the man leave the restroom through the same door which their maknae had run through a moment before. "Please please don't hurt him! He didn't mean to!" he begged at the other kidnappers instead. The two men stood unsure in the middle of the room and didn't seem to know what they needed to do right now.

"Please!" Taehyung begged again and tried to crawl closer to the exit door, but he failed when his hand slipped due to his own blood on the ground, causing him to collapse on his side. "No no please!!" he continued to beg.

He turned his head around to look at the door, but his eyes found Namjoon first. The rapper was awake, but clearly in a lot of pain judging by the way he was gritting his teeth and panting through controlled breaths. He was lying on his back, but it looked unnatural somehow. His injured leg and wrist were lying limp and the rest of his body was bruised all over, but the look on his face made Taehyung held his breath for a moment.

Namjoon looked proud?

He must be feeling the worst pain he had ever felt in his life, but he had a content smile smile on his face? His eyes were half-lidded but the look in it was fierce and determined. How could he not be terrified?

A loud bang was heard in the departure hall, causing Taehyung to looked at the door within an instant. The restroom suddenly fell silent, apart from heavily breaths coming from Namjoon who also seemed to lose his breath for that moment. A couple of seconds later the door opened again, and Taehyung felt like his world was falling apart.

"NO WHAT DID YOU DO?!!!" he screamed. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!!"

His vision was blurred with tears and his voice was cracking with how loud he was screaming. The leader looked livid and stormed towards his direction, with his gun still in hand. Taehyung couldn't move anymore as his limbs felt disconnected from his body and the ringing in his ears became more prominent. He knew he was losing too much blood since the wound was still actively bleeding, but it wasn't his priority anymore.

"What did you do?" he weakly muttered at the kidnapper, while dark spots were invading his vision. The man grabbed his hair and yanked him upwards "The same thing I'm going to do with you" the man spat and pressed the gun against his uninjured leg.
