Worst is yet to come

Chapter 10

After spending hours in the doctor's office, Yoongi Hoseok and Seokjin were finally allowed to leave the room later in the evening when most patients had been treated and sent home. The chaotic atmosphere earlier that day had disappeared as if nothing had happened today, but the exhausted looks on the hospital staff faces told another store. Nurses and doctors were covered in sweat and blood, while taking notes so they could finally finish their shifts so the three members instantly felt bad for making a fuss when they were told to be patient and stay in the doctor's room. They made sure to politely bow at every single person they walked past as they were being lead to a hospital room in the general ward where Jimin would be staying overnight. Namjoon, Jungkook and Taehyung were admitted in the ICU and weren't allowed to have visitors since visiting hour was long over, but the nurses of the general ward made an exception and asked them if they wanted to visit Jimin before they were being sent back to their hotel.

Of course, Hoseok Yoongi and Seokjin didn't need to be asked twice and gladly followed the nurse and their manager to the said room and listened to the nurse closely while she was giving them an update on the oldest maknae while they were walking. After the doctor had put Jimin's shoulder back in place, the boy had vomited again so he had received something for the nausea and stronger painkillers, so the nurse warned them that he could be sleeping right now.

And just like the nurse had predicted, Jimin was indeed fast asleep when the three members and their manager entered the room. But the poor thing looked awful. A big purple bruise was covering half of his face and his blonde hair were coated red were blood sticking to his skull. Dark circles were prominent under his eyes and his skin looked so pale. It looked like Jimin had tried to turn on his side since he always slept like that, but he couldn't because his injured shoulder was in a sling with a pillow supporting his arm. The older members knew how much Jimin hated to sleep on his back, but here he was, unable to sleep comfortably because he was simply too injured.

Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin silently stepped closer to the bed, but none of them dared to touch him. He looked so fragile as if even the slightest touch could hurt him and they also didn't want to wake him up. The three members were exhausted after today, but how tired must Jimin be feeling right now? Especially with a severe concussion like that.

Sejin kept his distance and let the members have their moment with the maknae, but after 10 minutes of watching the sleeping boy, he gently started to guide them out of the room again. The manager was a bit concerned when the three didn't protest, but he knew how badly they were hurting mentally and they must be more exhausted then they were showing. So he quickly notified the rest of the staff to make sure they could get the members in bed as soon as possible when they arrived at the hotel.

The next morning, Hoseok Yoongi and Seokjin were already wide awake at 6am. To their surprise, they had managed to sleep for 7 hours straight, but it was no surprise to their manager who told them that they had looked like walking zombies last night. For the first time in their lives, they went to bed without brushing their teeth, so that could probably sum up how tired they had been.

"Can we go to the hospital now?" Seokjin after finishing his coffee. Yoongi and Hoseok looked hopefully at Sejin as well, but the manager shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry but visiting hours start at 10am. We're not allowed to come in earlier"

"That's.... 4 more hours!" Hoseok gasped when he noticed the time on his phone. "But we didn't see Namjoon, Taehyung and Jungkook last night!"

The manager silently winced and gulped nervously "The visiting hours of the general ward are at 10am, but the ICU only allows visitors in the afternoon..."
