On a snowy day, Mari, a bright and cheerful girl is running over to Cloud's house to meet up and have a sleepover... On the way there she notices how chilly the air is due to the winter season and how much their city has been decorated, and everything was covered in festive lights.
Mari sighs into her hands because of how cold she was feeling
Mari: "I should be getting close to Cloud's house by now...
And she was right, she turned the corner to see Clouds house and she walked up and knocked on the front door
Mari: "Cloud? Open up! I'm freezing here!"
Cloud opens the door, wearing a sweater because of how cold it is
Cloud: Come in Mari! Let's watch a movie or something... I'm really bored right now.
She walks in and immediately hugs him because of how cold she was feeling, his body heat helps her cool down while she blushes
Cloud hugs her back, feeling how cold she is
Cloud: "You're practically freezing... Do you want to wear one of my jackets for now?"
Mari: "Y-Yes please..."
She says while shivering because of how cold it is
Cloud goes to get one of his jackets and comes back with a large jacket that is way too oversized for Mari
Mari: "Th-Thank you..."
She says while taking the jacket and putting it on
Cloud picks her up and puts her near the fireplace then they start watching a horror movie
In the middle of the movie, Mari tries to hug Cloud because she's so scared
Mari: "C-Cloud... This movie is too scary..."
Cloud pulls her closer And hugs her tightly
Mari': "Th-Thank you..."
she says while blushing slightly as he pulls her closer
Once they finish the movie, they go up to the bedroom and prepare to sleep, Mari lays down on another bed far away from Cloud, facing the window... When suddenly Mari seems to see a monster and immediately jumps up and goes to Cloud
Mari screams while running to Cloud
Mari: "Cloud! Cloud I don't wanna sleep on that side... I swear I saw something there... Can I sleep with you?..."
She says shyly
Cloud upon hearing this scooches to the side and pats the other side of the bed
Cloud: "Okay, lay down here for now and I will keep watch of the window okay? I'll make sure that nothing comes back!"
He says confidently
Mari lays down beside Cloud and hugs him, she feels her heartbeat become faster and faster at the thought of being beside Cloud... She's had a crush on him for so long and she hopes that one day he'll notice it.
Mari: "Cloud... Thank you... You're so cool and brave and..."
She pauses, clearly embarrassed and blushing so much from this situation
Cloud gets flustered from the sudden compliments
Cloud: "Y-Yeah.. I'm just that cool! This is why you should always stay friends with me!"
He says confidently although with a bit of stuttering
Mari sighs deeply and gives him a look of sadness
Mari: "I wish..."
Cloud also sighs deeply and looks away
Cloud: "I just... I just want some more time together.."
Mari tries to be cheerful
Mari: "then let's spend some time together and go out! Let's go to the park or just... Get some food!"
She says with a hint of hope in her eyes
Cloud slowly gets up from the bed and looks her in the eyes
Cloud: "you're right... We have to spend as much time with each other as we can... Let's go to the park first..."
She immediately jumps up and grabs his hand
Mari: "Let's go then!"
She says happily while dragging him out his house
Cloud: "Hey wait, you're too excited! We need to prepare first.."
he says trying to fight back against her grasp
Mari continues to drag him out the house
Mari: "we don't need to do all of that! Let's just go there and have fun for a bit!"
She says cheerfully
He gives up and decides to let her drag him out the house, thinking about how cute she looks trying so hard.
Cloud: "alright fine... Don't blame me if we get hit by the freezing cold breeze alright?"
He drags him to the park, with a cheerful and bright smile
Mari: "Yes yes I know. You need to stop thinking about the cold and start thinking about how much fun we will have there.
She says happily
Once they get there, they sit down on a freezing cold bench near a mall
Mari: "I-I-It's... So... So cold..."
She says while shivering
Cloud sighs and removes his sweater and puts it around her
Cloud: "Here. I told you we should've prepared first.
Mari: "Y-Yeah.. I guess I'm wrong... Oh it doesn't matter... Let's just go in the mall and buy some stuff!"
She says with a bright smile, grabbing his hand and trying to drag him to the mall
Cloud: "Alright fine."
he sighs and gets up
Once they're at the mall, they decide to go in a restaurant for a midnight snack
Cloud: "Order whatever you want... I'm gonna go buy something I saw earlier real quick."
He gets up and leaves
Mari orders some of Cloud's favorite dishes, they have to use up all their time after all... They only have a few months left so Cloud will have to leave soon.
