Day 1/???
Silence, the only thing that could be heard was their breathing and the occasional gust of wind that blew on the trees. It was... Once again Mari and Cloud, but it seems as if... Everything's changed about them. Mari is no longer the bright and cheerful girl she once was and Cloud now looks devoid of emotion. He looks as if he's trying to hide something. Eventually, the silence gets broken by Mari's soft and gentle voice.
Mari: "Cloud... Thank you for coming."
Cloud couldn't bare to look or listen to her knowing... Knowing that he... He regrets coming here, he should've left silently... It would hurt her much more knowing... Knowing that he...
Cloud: "Yeah, how are you Mari?"
Cloud blurted out unexpectedly, he seemed so deep in thought that him suddenly speaking up shocked Mari.
Mari: "U-Uh... I've been doing oka-"
Before Mari could finish her sentence, she was surprised by Cloud running to hug her and the warm embrace of Cloud. She had yearned for this for so long and now... She's finally at peace.
Yet she knew that it wouldn't just be sunshine and rainbows from now on. There was still the problem that Cloud had... His new girlfriend. Mari was scared of the future and what could happen, yet she knew that she had to enjoy this moment with Cloud cause it may be their very last.
Mari: "Cloud... I've missed you so much... I wish you-... you never left..."
Mari's voice was so soft to the point where Cloud could barely hear her and he hugged her even tighter. They were both on the verge of tears yet they tried their best to fight against it. They wanted this to be a moment where they could be happy with each other.
They were hugging each other tightly and enjoying each other's presence until the bell rang, it was the signal for both of them to go... Mari would go back to classes and do the usual routine while Cloud... Cloud had to do something different.
They didn't want to let go of each other yet so they stood there, just hugging each other for a solid 2 minutes until eventually... They both let go and continue on with their days, turning their backs to each other and walking their separate path... Hoping one day maybe their paths will collide again.
MARI'S SIDE
As soon as they let go of each other, Mari quickly turned around and started running away, wiping her tears as she does so. She goes to the washroom and washes her face there before going back to the classroom where she met Jax... Except this time he was badly bruised and instead sat far away from Mari.
She didnt want to question it so she just sat down as usual and just pondered about... The future, if she could ever get back with Cloud. Her own thoughts were killing her. She couldn't escape the undeniable fact that she couldn't do anything. She looked as if she was about to cry until someone tapped her back.
All the chatter in the classroom suddenly stopped once the students realized who just entered the classroom. She quickly turned around and... It's Kingsley... Weird... She had expected it to be Ernst because he's usually the one who comes to her but...
Kingsley: "You alright?
His voice was gentle, almost as if he was talking to a scared stray cat. Everything about him seemed different, almost as if he'd become an entirely new person.
Kingsley: "I'm sorry on behalf of Jax... You don't have to worry about him anymore. I'll make sure he gets... For lack of a better word, "Fixed".
Mari was relieved?... I mean... She's happy I guess? But there's no way they can tell if Jax will ever come back and try to pull off the same shit he did. And... Kingsley also can turn back to as he was before... Is she really safe? Ah, it doesn't matter. All she could do was pretend as if everything was fine.
