She entered the convenience store, it had memories of her and Cloud together that she couldn't ever remove from her head... All she could think about the entire time was Cloud and maybe... Maybe she-... Wait... That's Odd... She saw someone so familiar in the convenience store... She felt safe even looking at him... He looks so... So... Familiar... It can't be anyone but that bastard Kingsley... Right?! She couldn't exactly see his face as he was wearing sunglasses.
She was about to go talk to him until... She noticed he has a girl beside him... It had to have been Kingsley... There's no way... Or maybe?... She couldn't dare to walk up to him though... What if it's some stranger? No way right? No way it could be Kingsley out in the open...
Her mind was spinning with tons and tons of thoughts, all she could think about was how much this person was familiar to her, but it abruptly stopped when he finally spoke up.
???: "So... What do you think of this place so far?.. This is where I grew up."
His voice felt hesitant, almost as if he didn't even wanna be there... He looked uncomfortable and out of place.
???: "It's really cool! The scenery... The atmosphere... Even the houses! They're all so cool! I wish I could've grown up with you here..."
She said excitedly while the guy looked so uncomfortable with her presence... Eventually they leave and Mari out of pure(not really) curiosity decided to follow them.
They reached the apartment where Cloud and Mari used to hangout together... He seemed to have been staring at it for a while with a sad face until the girl nudged him.
???: "Ah right... This is... Where I used to stay at before I moved over to where you were."
???: "Wow... This apartment is kinda shabby... How did you have fun in this place?"
She said, kind of concerned on how he lived before he met her.
???: "My friends made it fun."
He said looking kind of sad yet happy at the same time.. it's clear to him that this place holds memories. Deep and very important memories.
???: "Just like how you made my life much much brighter when you came!"
She said brightly, she was like a ray of sunshine while he was like the darkness of the moon, they're polar opposites yet the moon relies on the sun.
???: "Alright, let's go! I wanna see the parks you used to hangout with your friends at!"
???: "Yeah yeah, we'll get there..."
They slowly walk away while Mari was still filled with tons of thoughts on who these people could be... They could be Kingsley and his girlfriend or maybe... Ernst or Jax has a girlfriend?!
Eventually they reach the park, the once snowy park was now filled with trees and with tons of leaves on the ground. The girl goes to the washroom, leaving the boy all alone. Mari takes this opportunity and slowly walks up to the boy, tapping his back.
The boy swiftly turns around and suddenly freezes up. The air was filled with silence until Mari spoke up softly.
Mari: "H-Hi... You... Are so familiar to me... H-have we met before?.."
The boy stared at her for a while, she couldn't exactly tell what he was feeling but she knew that something was off... And then he spoke up softly.
???: "Hello... We've met before... I'm sure... Maybe in another life?"
Mari: "Y-Yeah... We've met before... Right?... You just... Stand out to me in a way I can't explain.."
The boy looks at her with a sad look on his face... Suddenly the girl steps in and grabs the boys arm.
???: "Sorry, he's taken."
Mari: "Oh... I wasn't trying to get him or anything... I just-... He just felt so... Familiar..."
???: "Uhuh... Well, back off then. He doesn't know you."
???: "Wait... Could you let me talk to her privately?.. I'll just tell her something then we'll part ways."
The girl looked very annoyed, she wanted to just snatch him away and leave her but she decided to compose herself and let him do as he wishes.
???: "Fine, just make It fast."
And with that, she walks away and sits down on a nearby bench. The boy immediately leans in and whispers in her ear..
???: "Cloud told me to tell you... He's sorry. I'm a... Friend of his."
Mari: "C-Cloud?! What?!"
???: "Sorry."
Before she could ask any other questions, he immediately starts running to the girl. Mari dares not to follow him and stands there... She's so confused about this entire situation... Cloud must've made friends while he was gone and maybe he sent him to tell her?... As the couple walks away... The boy looks back and removes his sunglasses, Mari recognized him immediately and he mouthed out the words.
Cloud: "I still love you."
