Y/N POV –

You remembered every detail of this place; the huge hallways, maze of multiple rooms, expensive furniture all was same since you left. The burn of your scalp grew as Jeonghan kept dragging you. He took you in your bedroom harshly pushing you inside. You fell on the floor, clicking sound of doorknob was equally horrifying for you after a year. Jeonghan didn't spared you much time as he pulled you up by your arm. He pushed you against the wall harshly, making you yelp in pain. Your gaze automatically lowered, and your body tensed with fear as Jeonghan caged your body between himself and the wall. His height towered over your petite frame. Jeonghan's heavy breathing near you due to anger was your absolute nightmare.

Finally, Jeonghan's voice cut through the silence, a low and seething growl, "Do you have any idea what you've done, Y/n? You think you can just disappear and take my daughter away with you?"

You remained silent without speaking a single word, tears were running down your cheek at the thought of Miki. You never stayed away from her, it was you and her since she was born. And this parting from last few minutes was killing you inside. Miki was the only one you were thinking about. You swallowed hard, your throat dry as you stammered, "M-Miki. I-I want her."

Jeonghan gripped your cheeks to make you look at him. You looked at him to see his eyes flashing with mix of grief and fury. The anger radiated through his body; his jaw clenched due to how pissed he was.

"I asked you something, angel?" he reminded you about the question he asked you minute ago.

"I-I didn't mean to_" you spoke trembling in his hold.

Jeonghan interrupted you with sharp eyes, his hand leaving your cheek to tighten around your shoulder to keep you pinned against the wall. "You didn't mean to? You robbed her of her birthright, of the life she was supposed to have. And for what? Your misguided sense of freedom?"

Your breath came in shallow gasps as the weight of his words settled upon you. Jeonghan thought you left with Miki because you wanted to have freedom, while you lost all your freedom when you were pregnant with her. You gave up on your every dream, your life while bearing his child. The real reason why you did all this was because you wanted to protect the child with all your heart. Sure you robbed Miki's birthrights from her because you knew you weren't capable of giving all the things that the heiress of Yoon deserved but you tried your best to provide her simple and safe life. The accusation hung in air, and you felt the sting of guilt and fear intertwining. When you were about to speak you heard Jeonghan again.

"For completing your selfish needs, you didn't even hesitate to play with Miki's fate?" Your eyes grew larger hearing Jeonghan. He was the one who tried to put his family down for his selfish needs. He was the one who planned with his lover to kill his own wife and take the child away. The statement was frustrating for you, but you held yourself back for the sake of Miki. You didn't want to cause any harm to her, your baby was still little, and she needed you so you cannot even risk your life at this point. You stayed quite fiddling with your long skirt.

"What were you thinking when you ran without a trace, taking the heiress of Yoon? Were you planning to raise my princess in that tacky house with your tacky lifestyle, that all with the money you earned from baking cakes?" there was long pause before he continued again with chuckle gripping the collar of your blouse, "What can I expect from beggar like you? Look at you, you don't have any class, right? How old are these clothes?" With that Jeonghan ripped your blouse along with the sweater, the buttons of both the clothes fell onto floor. The force of the harsh tug caused your body to jerk forward closing the distance between you and Jeonghan.
