AN - [This chapter focus on little flashbacks to book I.]
JEONGHAN POV –
Jeonghan got address of Y/n with help of Yuta. He didn't had courage to visit directly on said address and again face the disappointment. He searched for you all this time just to feel more lost in his own loneliness. With his men he kept looking toward the way of small house. As the night fall slowly, there was no sign of any familiar person near that house which was enough for Jeonghan to believe that this was the very end. He was just imagining things. No way his wife was alive and was settled in another country. As he was about to give up and return back with broken heart someone came out of the house. The petite woman turned around locking the door and Jeonghan felt like his soul left his body. His head spinning looking at the woman walking away. Jeonghan wanted to cry out loud, throw tantrums like a bratty kid by going in front of the lady. He couldn't believe his eyes, you were alive. His heart thumping like drum against his chest. As soon as you were out of his sight he ran toward the house, his men running behind him without knowing why their boss was running like that.
Jeonghan entered the house opening the door. His eyes scanning the small house. He started opening door of the rooms. There weren't many rooms in house, opening another door with his trembling hand he felt like his world stopped the moment he saw something he expected to see. A small figure soundly sleeping under blanket in middle of bed caught his teary eyes. A sob escaped his lips because of all the pent-up emotions while getting closer to a sleeping toddler. The unborn child he used to talk with was really in front of him. The child he thought he lost was here. He stared at his daughter crouching near the bed, her sharp facial features matching his own made his heart swell. He didn't wanted to wake her up so he just kept looking at her with love.
Few minutes passed, and Jeonghan's eyes twinkled with mischievous glint replacing the sad look from earlier.
"I'm going back to Korea today, do the arrangements, and inform Yuta that some important things came up." He spoke getting up from floor. Jeonghan reach for his gun, hand extending toward his back. He took the gun in his hand and sat on the edge of bed facing the door.
The wave of happiness and love passed by immediately after seeing his daughter and now filled with rage and anger. Your betrayal was the biggest shock for him. The plotted accident, your death, his crashing dreams and hurt emotions, each and everything flashed in front of him. You were going to pay for everything, was the only thing on his mind. No one was going to stop him from doing that.
How you dared to fake everything which thrown him in the valley of sadness for so many days. He needed to show you who was in control, the game of manipulation was owned by him and someone else winning at it wasn't accepted at all. While he was planning all this, he heard faint footsteps approaching the room. Jeonghan's heartbeat increased unnecessarily. The doorknob clicked and door opened. Jeonghan casted his eyes upward seeing the person in front of him. It was really you. He loved how you didn't even dare to enter the room completely upon meeting his gaze. You just froze at your place.
His eyes softened for a moment upon seeing you. Dark circles were clearly visible under your eyes. You were tired and exhaustion was reflecting through them. Your skin looked in bad condition which left Jeonghan wondering that how many days you have not used any skincare. He also noticed the way you were back to wearing those old looking baggy clothes and worn-out dirty shoes. You shrunk under his dominating gaze just like the first time he met you. The difference was you were looking more torn than before, your glow completely faded out.
