JEONGHAN POV -
Jeonghan tossed you beside him gently. He took some tissues and cleaned both of you. He tucked you inside the duvet and got up to throw the used tissues. Jeonghan groaned getting up and wore his pajama pants. Jeonghan threw the tissues, but his hand collided with the small vase kept on nearby table. The glass shattered with noise, Jeonghan cursed under his breath looking at you squirming under duvet but you didn't got up and was fast asleep. Jeonghan's eyes travelled toward Miki's crib to see the toddler awake. Jeonghan once again cursed at his mistake remembering how light sleeper Miki was. Jeonghan walked toward the crib to look at Miki sitting in crib with grabby hands.
"Mama, Mama." Miki tried getting down as soon as Jeonghan took her in his arms.
"Mama just slept princess." Jeonghan said holding Miki who was trying to free herself from Jeonghan's hold.
"Miki, No. Mama is tired." Jeonghan walked out of room cooing into Miki's ear as he saw Miki's lower lip jute out for crying.
"Shh... Shh... Princess. You can't always act like that." Jeonghan shushed Miki while cradling her body in his hold as he walked into the empty corridor.
"Mama worked all day, sweetheart. Let her have rest." Jeonghan was trying to calm down irritated Miki because her sleep was interrupted. Jeonghan wondered how you managed to keep up with Miki all the time when Jeonghan just nudged you whenever Miki was awake like this in middle of night. The toddler was way too demanding and hard to deal with.
"Stop crying, brat. I'll give you cake if you stop crying." Jeonghan said with mischievous look, staring at Miki whose attention was on Jeonghan and the one word. Cake. Jeonghan knew his daughter was addicted to eating sweets, so it was best to bribe Miki in exchange of cake. Miki stopped crying with sniffs.
"Cake?" Her teary eyes lightened up at mention of getting cake.
"That's my girl. Let's go eat cake." Jeonghan said wiping the tears off from the toddler's cheeks.
"Promise me, princess, that you'll not tell Mama about this?" Jeonghan asked Miki before entering the kitchen. He extended his pinky and Miki followed with linking her pinky with his.
"Don't you dare to break the promise. No more sneak cake feasts then." Jeonghan warned Miki setting her on countertop. Miki carefully looked at Jeonghan nodding her head in agreement. He walked toward the fridge looking for cake.
"Oh, it's there." Jeonghan got his hands on fruit cake in refrigerator. The pretty white cake topped with fresh fruits came in sight of Miki immediately as Jeonghan removed it from refrigerator.
"Appa, Appa, Cake." Miki blabbered trying to jump from countertop.
"Miki, not moving at all. I'll keep it back in." Jeonghan warned Miki in stern voice signaling her to stay still. Miki listened to him. Jeonghan cut the big piece of cake and placed it into snack plate. He then happily walked toward Miki and scooped her in his arm. Jeonghan walked into connected dining room while balancing Miki and the cake in plate. He placed Miki on top of dining table directly and handed her the plate of cake. He sat in front of her as Miki started eating the cake with her bare hand. Jeonghan giggled looking at Miki who was happiest while eating sweets. Her chubby hands coated in white cream. Miki extended her hand toward Jeonghan's mouth trying to feed him the small piece of cake.
"Appa, cake." Miki said with her cheeks full of cake. Jeonghan couldn't help but feel amused looking at the pure love and care his daughter was giving to him. He longed for such love; such bond. No business deal involved, no expectations like other times, just pure love. Jeonghan opened his mouth to eat cake feeling too overwhelmed. Miki continued eating after that. Jeonghan just watched his princess in delight.
