CHAPTER - 13

JEONGHAN POV -

Jeonghan was busy with his work when suddenly he got call from house. He ignored the call initially but finally gave in when the calls didn't stop. Once he received the call, he got the news of Miki's missing. He tried containing his anger. Fear growing in his chest he remembered you weren't present in house. He suddenly regretted his decision of relying on Maids for Miki. This morning you were trying to skip your formal duties to stay by Miki's side because of the totally new surroundings. But he refused because no one was there beside Madam Yoon to look into some important matters. The news of your death was confidential, and no one knew about it, so everyone thought that you weren't in limelight because of pregnancy and stuff. Now that you were alive and back Jeonghan wanted you to fulfill your duties and meet everyone. The best way to shut up people from talking about you and making crazy theories about your inactive and aloof phase. What he never thought was all these things will take such turn. He ran toward his car to go back at house.

"Where is y/n right now?" He asked Mia who opened the door of car for him.

"Probably heading toward new company to help Madam Yoon. The assistant told me that they finished the charity program visit around ten minutes ago." Mia said sitting on the passenger seat.

"Make sure Y/n don't find this thing.  Don't tell Eomma also or else she'll tell her." Jeonghan said focusing on road and Mia nodded immediately.

Soon Jeonghan reached at house and lashed out on servants and maids. He went even crazier when he gets to know that most of the CCTV's in house were not working since it was close for long time. Everyone searched for Miki throughout the house, but they couldn't find her. Jeonghan was just annoyed and irritated with whole situation. Two hours passed and there was no sign of Miki. Everyone was getting afraid thinking about Miki and Jeonghan. Your family, his grandmother and Ara were present in house, but Jeonghan didn't cared much. He was so angry. He finally sat on couch feeling angrier and desperate.

After some time, he saw you entering inside with Madam Yoon by your side. You were in hurry while entering which was reasonable because you were busy whole day and didn't get to meet Miki. Jeonghan knew your love for Miki, and this was the first time you were separated from Miki for so long. As you entered inside, he knew you were completely clueless about the situation. You were looking exhausted too. Jeonghan kept watching you as you asked a maid to bring Miki in bedroom, ignoring the tense surrounding. His heart clenched looking at you desperately asking for Miki because she needed to nurse. The maid didn't spoke anything and stood there. Jeonghan already knew that you realized why the atmosphere in room was tensed. So, he announced about Miki's missing news.

However, Jeonghan didn't expected a sudden shift in your demeanor. He never thought you'd became this angry and snap on him. Jeonghan stared in awe when you pulled him up from couch by his collar. Jeonghan hated his mind for getting turned on by your action in such situation. The way you stopped Mia from taking between you two, the way you announced to everyone to stay away from your matter, the way you smacked him without fear this time. Jeonghan felt mesmerized by you and he himself let you act recklessly. He stood there hearing each of your word but didn't say anything back because he knew he deserved it. He wasn't going to stop you. His heart felt relieved that finally you were acting bravely and not just running away from problems. He didn't know what made you so confident but it was too sexy. Somehow Jeonghan's mind kept him reminding about his precious daughter. His thoughts never letting Miki slip through it. He panicked more when you lose your consciousness.

Y/N POV -

You woke up with fear evident in your eyes. Your head hurt but you immediately tried to get up from bed. Upon sitting in bed, you saw Jeonghan standing few feet away from bed with Miki in his arms. She was giggling with Jeonghan who sensed you waking up. You tried getting out of bed, but Jeonghan signaled you to keep sitting. Your eyes were teary looking at Miki, you thought this was dream. He walked toward you to keep Miki in your lap. Miki immediately hugged you whining as she fiddled with your dress. You knew she was hungry and suddenly you became sure that this was reality, that Miki was safe. A tear escaped your eye as you kissed Miki's forehead with smile and immediately started nursing her.

You closed your eyes leaning your head on headrest with Miki held closely to your chest. You finally felt sense of relief wash over you. You didn't move when you felt the bed dipping beside you. You were definitely scared because of your reckless behavior in evening but something in you told that Jeonghan wouldn't harm you this time.

"The kitty party just started. Do you want to join them?" Jeonghan asked softly. You scoffed internally at his question. Was he really thinking that you wanted to attend that kitty party after what happened today, where those rich old women along with his Nana would judge you and tell you how to act like upper class lady giving you modesty lessons.

"Don't you even dare, Hannie." You said in equal small yet frustrating voice earning a chuckle from Jeonghan. He was teasing you like always. Even he clearly knew you weren't able to attend that party with your current physical and mental condition.

"Just take rest, love. No need to stress out." Jeonghan held your head gently, placing a small kiss on side of your head. You just stayed still.

"Tell the maids if you need something. I'll be back late. I need to finish my work." Jeonghan said placing a kiss on Miki's forehead. His cheek brushed lightly against your boob.

As he got away from you, you held his wrist, opening your eyes to look at him. He stared at you confused, taking your hand in his.

"Where was she?" You asked bit nervous.

"Basement." Jeonghan said looking at you, the frown evident on your face.

"She was sleeping near the door of basement. Maybe she got down while playing and slept because of exhaustion." Jeonghan explained. You nodded listening to him. Miki often slept like that when she was tired. She usually got tired after playing for short time. But you didn't understood how come she reached at basement. So, you sighed getting worried.

"I see. Can you ask Mingyu to check her once? You know, just to assure everything is fine." You ruffled through Miki's hair who was now calmly sucking milk.

"We can do that. Once we're back in Seoul, I'll tell Mingyu to visit." Jeonghan assured you and took his leave.
