Kate's P.O.V.

Why does he make me so mad? Ugh this is so annoying. These thoughts continue to swirl around in my head, while I pace around my room, with Tanya sitting on my bed. She lays back casually

"Kat, it's obvious you like him, you practically admitted it yesterday" I stop pacing and sit beside my best friend.

"I mean I thought I did but, he kind of frightens me, nobody just gets put in almost every one of somebody's classes by accident" I say.

"I don't know" Tanya says.

"There is something dark about him, and it draws me in, and also pushes me away" I say.

She nods "so maybe you should call him, just figure it out, I still don't like the guy, but if you do, then go for it" my friend says.

"Okay" I say as Tanya grabs my phone off the night side table. With shaky hands I grab it, and pull out my notebook. I punch in his seven digit number, and press talk.

"Hello?" His deep voice answers.

"Hey Alex um it's Kate" I say. He chuckles,

"I know" I look at Tanya, and she just shrugs.

"So do you want to come over, or meet up, so we can work on the project?" I ask him in a rush.

"Sure I'll come over" he says. I tell him my address and we hang up.

"Okay you have fun, I'll be at my house if you need anything" she says.

"Okay bye Tanya" I say walking her downstairs to the front door.

"Bye Tanya" I hear Aron call from the living room.

"Bye!" She calls back walking out of my house, to her car. I walk into the living room and sit beside my brother.

"What's up kiddo?" He asks.

"Nothing" I say.

"Well you look pale." He says.

"Oh, I dont know maybe just cold" I say trying to assure my brother. I knew exactly why I was so pale. I hear the doorbell and I get up very slowly.

"Who's that?" Aron asks.

"My humanites partner" I say. I slowly walk to the door, and pull it open to see Alex leaning against the door frame.

"Hi" I squeak.

"Hey'' he says back. I invite him inside, and he steps in, sliding his shoes off. I turn and see Aron standing there looking at us.

"Aron, Alex, Alex, that's my brother Aron." I say.

"We're going to work on our project now!" I say quickly pulling Alex up the stairs.

"Door open!" I hear my brother yell. I roll my eyes, and blush a bit, Alex chuckles. We step into my room and I close the door leaving it open a crack.

"Nice room'' Alex says, looking around my pink, purple, and green room.

"Thanks" I say. He turns around, and we're standing face to face.

"Lets study" I say stepping away from his stare.

He laughs a bit and I think I hear him whisper "so innocent". I sit on my bed, and grab my books. He sits beside me, and pulls out his notebook.

"So, what's your family like?" Alex asks me.

"Well it's just me Aron, and my mom" I say not really wanting to talk about my dad. I don't really talk to anyone about him.

"Where's dad?" He presses me, looking in my eyes, almost knowingly.

I look down at my book, "can we not talk about that?" I whisper.

"Okay" he says softly.

"What's your family like?" He shrugs.

"I live on my own" he says simply. I nod. We spend about an hour just getting to know each other.

"Okay so.." I stop mid sentence as I notice his eyes taking on that same look from yesterday. They're dark, and his face just looks different. He stands up and heads towards the door. "Alex!" I call behind him.

"What!" He hisses.

"Wait!" I say following him out my door. He keeps going and runs out my front door.

"Alex!" I yell running behind him.

"Just go home!" He yells back.

"Fine" I say quietly, turning around, walking back into my house.

"What's up with him?" Aron asks.

"Just leave me alone"I huff, going up into my room. I change into some pajamas and slip into bed, thinking about Alex.

Hey guys I won't update this weekend cuz I won't be in town but I'll write while I'm gone, so i can update lots when Im back
