Chapter 14

Kate's P.O.V

Alex and I walk in a comfortable silence back to my house. When we reach the doorway a hand is extended to pull it open for me. "Thanks" I sat to Alex before entering. Aron, my mom, Eric, and Tanya are all seated in the living room. Eric stands up but I raise a hand to silence him before he can speak. "Look, I'm really tired and I probably wont pay attention to anything you're going to say, so I'm going to bed, we can talk in the morning" I say with a tone that is telling them I already made up my mind. "

Okay goodnight" Eric says with a slight nod of the head.

"Night" mom and Aron call after me. Alex joins everyone in the living room, while I walk up the steps.

Quickly changing into a tank top and shorts, I pull back the covers and slide into my bed. Despite how exhausted I am the peace that is sleep just wont take over. After tossing and turning in my bed for half an hour, there's a soft knock at my door. Seconds after Tanya's small silhouette comes into view.

"I figured you wouldn't be able to sleep with everything that's happened today" she says sitting beside me on my bed.

"You thought right" I sigh resting my chin on my pillow.

"Well.. I don't know what to think about Eric" She breaks the silence that had taken over the room.

"Me either, do you really think I'm a vampire?" I ask her.

"Well, it's possible I guess" she shrugs. "You have to admit it would be kind of cool" she giggles.

"Maybe, I just.. I'm having a hard time believing it" I sigh again.

"Well that's kind of normal considering he says he's some kind of creature that you only hear about in movies and books" Tanya says. "Wanna google it?" Tanya laughs.

"Actually I do" I say sitting up turning on the lamp. Tanya grabs my laptop, and lays beside me on the bed. She pulls up google and after typing in Vampires in the search engine, we find a page that looks legitimate.

Vampires being one of the most popular and well known Mythical beings out there are not to be taking lightly. In History many different accounts and reports of the Mythical creatures have been reported. Vampires are believed to have affinity's for many different things. All of the affinity's that have been discovered written in Romanian. The affinity's consist of:

Vânt, Wind, Foc fire, De apă Water, Viteză speed, Gheaţă ice, Stare atmosferica or vreme weather, Frumuseţe Beauty, Hipnoză hypnosis, Emoţii emotion.

We're almost positive that their are plenty more affinity's to be discovered. In legend it's said that a male Vampire is not born unless both creators are vampires. Females being much more dangerous can be born Hybrid even if one parent is Human. Usually females are born stronger if the Male creator is a powerful vampire himself.

I look up at Tanya. "Holy shit" I say.

"Dude that's so cool" she says.

"I wonder what affinity I would have" I wonder out loud.

"Me too honestly" She says.

"Look Kate I really think you should just try to sleep. Eric wants to explain everything tomorrow. You want to be able to pay attention" Tanya says.

"I know.. I'll try" I say.

"Goodnight" Tanya says getting up and walking towards the door.

"Night" I call after her.
