Kate's P.O.V

What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck?! How is he here? Why?! "What?" My father. The dick that left me because of my gender.

"Fuck no, no!" I say turning for the stairs. I run up them and run into Aron. I have his shirt in my fists. I feel his arms wrap around my back protectively, with one hand on my head soothing me. I cry into his chest.

"Why the fuck are you here" he says through clenched teeth.

"I need to talk to Kate" he says.

"No fuck you, you left my mom to do everything, you don't just get to waltz in here when all the works done" Aron says tightening his hold on me. Tanyas half way up the stairs as if blocking his way to me. Aron turns his back to them and lets go of me.

"Are you okay? Tanya, bring her into her room and just calm her down." I see Tanya nod and come up the stairs. Aron goes down the steps and stands infront of Alex. Alex is tall but Aron has an inch or two on him.

"C'mon kate" Tanya pulls me into my room.

Aron's P.O.V.

I stand infront of Alex and look at him. "why'd you bring him here?" I ask feeling enraged that he did this.

"He needs to talk to her" he shrugs.

"And you," I turn to my "Father" "You have the nerve to come around here? After all you've done?" I shout.

"Aron, I'm not here to appologize, I need to talk to your sister." I hear the door open again. My mom lets out a loud sigh.

"Well, I should've known this day would come." she sighs again.

"What?" I say angrily.

"I knew this was coming, Aron lay off" she says sternly. I huff and sit on the stairs. "Eric, you could've sent word, I would've at least told the kids" my mom says.

"I didn't realize how soon it may happen" He says. I sit here completley dumbfounded I have no idea what's going on. I hear a door open behind me and I turn to see Kate at the top of the stairs.

"Kate I-" he's cut off by her.

"No, dont talk, how dare you come here now, you let me live my life believing that you hated me, I fucking hate you and nothing will change that ever. You're the biggest douchebag I've ever met in my life. I don't know anything about you and I already hate you." She spits at him harshly.

"I don't appreciate you talking like that" he says.

"Fuck you. You get no say in anything I do, I ha-"

"Kate" I cut her off, walking up the steps to stand beside her.

"What? He's a dick" she says with tears in her eyes. I pull her into my chest and hold her there. I feel her crying into my shirt. Again. She's so going to stain it.

"Let me talk to her" I mouth to my mum. "Kate come with me" I say putting my arm around her shoulders leading her to my mom's room. I close the door and she sits on the bed.

"Kate I know you really hate him, but I think you should listen to him" I say.

"What? Aron he left me, I dont need him, I only need you, Tanya, and mum, I don't need him. You're the only guy that I need in my life." Sighing I sit beside her.

"Kate I can tell what he has to say is important, just give him a chance. Sit with me the whole time, and if he goes to far I'll tell him to fuck off" I say. Kate looks at me and smiles.

"Aron all I can say is, thank you. You're seriously the best, you're like my rock" she says.

"I'm here for you Kate. Now let's go listen to this bastard" I laugh getting up.

Kate's P.O.V

We're all sitting in the living room now. Eric is sitting in the chair across the room from the couch me Aron, and Tanya are sitting on. Alex is sitting on the step into the dining room, and mum is sitting in the arm chair that's parallel to Eric's.

"Kate," he starts "I dont know how to say this, I'm a vampire. Yes we drink blood, but we're not these vicious creatures you think we are. We've been living amongst humans for thousands of years" he says.

"Oh okay, that's believable" I say sarcasticly.

"I'm not finished" he says sternly. "I left because I was being a coward, afraid of what I might have created. See you could be a hybrid vampire, but not just any hybrid, I'm one of the most powerful vampires to be born in thousands of years. That could only make you more powerful." He stops to study my face.

"Wait, so how come this hasn't effected Aron?" I ask raising my eyebrows. "This only effects girls. Boys are only born vampires if both parents are vampires."

"I'm having a really hard time believing you" I say. "I mean really, you're a stranger that just walked in here telling me you're some mythical creature." I say standing up.

"Kate you need to listen to me" Eric says.

"No, you need to go to a mental hospital. Just leave me alone!" I cry running to the front door. Slipping on my flip flops I run out.

"Kate!" I hear Aron call behind me.

"No Aron, leave me alone!" I yell running down the driveway

"I'll get her" I hear faintly from behind me. I keep running until I reach the park down the street from my house. I flop down on the dewy grass, panting from my run. I see a dark figure running towards me.

"Holy shit Kate, don't run so fast next time" the voice I recognize as Alex's says as he sits beside me.

"Sorry" I say still laying in the grass.

"I need to tell you something, and this I know its kind of a weird time considering that your dad just showed up and stuff, but I have a feeling I won't be able to talk to you alone for a while." he say staring up at the stars.

"Okay, shoot" I say.

"I like you Kate, a lot, and even though you can read me like an open book, I don't want you to get the wrong impression of me, Im not a player or anything" he says softly.

"I.. Alex I didn't get the wrong impression, I really like you too, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner I just-" he cuts me off by leaning forward and pressing his lips to mine softly. I respond in seconds, pressing my hands on his shoulders causing him to lay back. Keeping my hands on his chest, his hands brush up and down my back gently. I break the kiss and rest my forehead on his.

"Its okay" he breathes. He smiles and kisses me gently again.

"We should go back kitten. They're probably wondering where we are" he says. I get up off his chest, and brush myself off.

"Kate one more thing, I don't want you to doubt him, consider what he says" I nod, and we start our way back to the house.
