Chapter 1

I wake up, and roll over. Shit, there's school today. "Kate!" I hear my mom call from the hallway.

"I'm up!" I yell back. I slide out of bed and look out my huge window. "Great it's raining" I mutter to myself. I put on dark jeans, and a striped green, and pink shirt. I brush my long dirty blonde hair, and leave it straight. I put some cover up on, and some black mascara, that makes my greenish brown eyes pop. I open my door and walk down the hall to the stairs. I run down the stairs and find my mom sitting in the kitchen.

"Morning" she says.

"Good morning" I say grabbing my keys off the table. "I'm leaving!" I call from the porch as I slip my thin jacket on. I rush to my car to avoid the rain. I put the key in the ignition and pull out of my driveway, making my way to school. After a short ten minute drive I park my car beside my best friend Tanya's car. She jumps out, and walks to my car.

"Hurry up! I'm getting soaked out here!" She says.

"One minute" I say grabbing my purse and keys. I hop out and lock the car behind me.

"So what's new?" She asks.

"Nothing, same boring life" I reply.

"Girl you gotta get out more"

"well sor-rey I don't like to party all weekend" I say back. Tanya loves to party, and I don't. She's been trying to get me to go to one since grade eight. We get to the old schools front doors, and I pull one open. We enter and see a tall dark haired guy in the office. He's pretty cute actually, but there's something about him...

"Hey, Kate!" Tanya snaps her fingers in front of my face.

"Wha-what?" I say snapping out of my thoughts.

"You totally checked that guy out" she laughs.

My face goes pink "no way" I shoot back.

"He noticed too" she says. I look behind me, to see the tall boy smirking. Fuck

"I'm so awkward" I laugh, saying goodbye to Tanya making my way to my locker. I open it and notice the same guy from the office walking out the back door. I know that I shouldn't but I put my books in my locker, and follow him out. He reaches the forest and stops walking. I stop dead in my tracks and hope he doesn't turn around. But to my luck he turns around. He starts walking towards me, and he's suddenly right in front of me.

"What are you doing" he hisses.

"I-I was ju-"

"Just following me?" He hisses again.

"No! I uh." What was I doing?

"Don't lie to me!" He says. Somehow he moves behind me very fast. "You're so innocent... So oblivious to the world" he hisses in my ear. I can feel his hot breath in my ear causing shivers to go down my spine to my toes. I stand paralyzed by my fear for this mysterious boy. I close my eyes, trying to hide the fear. "Do I intimidate you? That just shows how innocent you are" he breathes in my ear. I open my eyes, and see him standing in front of me again. He's looking at my neck, lust dark in his eyes.

"H-how did you..?" I say stunned by the fact that he move so quickly. I close my eyes again, and I when I reopen them I see him running into the forest. "Wait!" I meant for it to be a yell, but it was only a whisper. I walk inside and arrive to my class late. I don't remember it though, because I spent the whole day thinking about that boy. I don't even know his name, and yet he's so... Mysterious.
