Blood lust

chapter 9

I walk towards my house trying to stay calm because I know Alex is watching me. I get to the front door and I pull it open. I walk in, closing the door behind me and I see Tanya sitting on the stairs."Oh my god Tanya!" I squeal.

"What happened!?" Tanya asks standing up.

"Okay, he kissed me!" I squeal.

"Kate! That means he really likes you!" She says.

"He was a gentleman too!" I say starting my way up the steps. We go into my room, and I close the door.

"Where'd you guys go?" Tanya asks me sitting on my bed.

"You know that french restaurant downtown?" I ask her.

"He took you there?" Tanya exclaims. I nod and smile. I get up and walk over to my bathroom. I start to wash off all the makeup Tanya caked on me earlier. I pull the small waterfall braid out of my hair, and tie it up in a bun. I walk back into my room and grab my pajamas

"I'm gunna have a shower" I say to Tanya, turning on my heels and walking back into my bathroom. After a short ten minute shower that consisted of washing my hair, and body quickly, I stop the water, grab my towel and step out. After getting dressed and putting my hair up again, I walk back into my bedroom. Tanya is sitting there watching sponge bob squarepants.

"You're like a little kid" I laugh.

"No! Sponge bob is the best!" Tanya defends.

"Yup sure, not childish at all" Iaugh at her.

"I hate you" she murmurs.

"Love you too!" I say enthusiastically plopping down beside her on my bed. I ended up falling sleep within the first episode due to me waking up so early and staying up so late.

The next morning

I wake up around noon and I notice Tanya sitting up beside me on her phone.

"What's up?" I ask her.

"Nothing, sleep well?" She asks.

"Yeah, is my mom home?" I ask her.

"Yeah but she got home really late so she's still asleep" she says.

"Okay" I say sliding out of bed. I get up and change into a floral blouse, and dark blue skinny jeans. I open my door and the sunlight from the front immediately shines in my face.

"Thank god its sunny!" I laugh.

"Where ya goin?" Tanya asks me.

"Breakfast" I reply simply, heading for my stairs. I reach the kitchen, and I grab a cereal bowl, and some oatmeal crisp.

"Still a virgin? because the way you were looking at that guy last night I'd guess not" I hear Aron say from behind me.

"Aron how do you know whether or not I'm a virgin?" I ask him turning to face him.

"Oh please Kate, you've had no opportunities to lose It, you never party or have had a boyfriend" he says. I turn back to the counter and pour my cereal and milk into the bowl. I can tell that Aron is still behind me. I turn to him feeling somewhat upset about his previous statement

"Would you rather have me be a whore? I could bring home a different guy every night if you'd like" I snap.

"Sorry" he mumbles walking away. I quickly eat my cereal and go back upstairs.

"Alex texted you" Tanya says. I feel myself perk up at those three words. I unlock my phone finding a text from Alex thanking me for last night. I thank him back, and I drop my phone beside me.

"Let's do something" I say to Tanya.

"Like what?" Tanya asks me.

"Its sunny, let's go to the beach." I say.

"Okay but then I gotta run home and get my bikini" she says.

"Okay, meet me at our cove in half an hour" I say as she walks out of my room. Our cove is what Tanya and I named a small part of a beach we found when we were eleven or twelve. It's also where I got my first kiss. I throw on a black bikini with frills, and then put a purple sun dress over it. I grab some towels and food, (of course) and head out to my car. I decide to take the scenic route, because it's always been my favourite way to go, even if it's fifteen minutes longer. I admire the scenery as I drive the 45 minutes to our special part of the beach. I pull into the beach parking lot, and I get out of my sky blue car. I find Tanya waiting by the gate to the long beach. "Hey" I say as we start to walk down the beach.

"Hi" she replies. I grab my flip flops, deciding to walk down the beach barefoot.

"How long since we've been here?" Tanya asks me also removing her flip flops.

"It's been at least two years" I say letting my thoughts drift back to the last time we visited our cove. We reach our beautiful sun filled cove, that looks like something out of a movie. We sit in the sand and basically spend our whole day working on our tan, and swimming around the light blue water.
