A young man clad in white walked through the garden towards Dongmei and Rong, bowing as he approached them. "Dongmei Gongzhu, General Rong." Dongmei inclined her head and Rong bowed in return.
"Lan Cheung. I'm glad you could join us." Dongmei smiled, adjusting her sleeves. Caihong had just come moments ago to deliver Dongmei's new clothing. "Are you ready to leave now or in a day?" Cheung blinked.
"Leave? Pardon me, Gongzhu, but I don't know what you mean." Dongmei glared at Rong, who shrank under her glare.
"General Rong should have told you this in the message." Dongmei glared at Rong once more. "I will be accompanying you and General Rong on a mission I've prepared. Exorcising the demons and spirits that have been possessing people and killing others." Cheung's eyes widened.
"Absolutely not!" Cheung glanced at Rong, the question obvious in his eyes. Rong shook his head, rolling his eyes, "With all due respect, Gongzhu, I cannot allow you to do this. It's much too dangerous and-"
"'-as the only heir to the throne, we must not jeopardize your life.' I know that. Rong has already been saying the same thing this whole morning. He's still trying to convince me not to go." Dongmei sighed, "For the tenth time today, I am going. I am skilled with sword, cultivation, and exorcism."
Cheung hesitated. "But, Gongzhu, aren't you...blind?" Dongmei smiled and moved her blindfold onto her forehead.
"Not anymore. But I will keep the blindfold so that I can quickly put it back on as to keep suspicion off of me." Dongmei eyed the young master with her silver eyes, "So?"
"If you die-
"'-the Emperor will have my head.' I'm sorry, but are you twins?" Dongmei looked between Rong and Cheung, shaking her head, "As I've already said before, if I die, you better die with me then. It's better than shamefully being poisoned or beheaded. Now, answer my first question. Are you ready to leave now or tomorrow? You have...ten seconds to answer."
Lan Cheung looked extremely annoyed by this point, constantly glancing at Rong as if saying 'You should have never summoned me here with this demon.' "I can leave now. But your highness-" Dongmei held up a hand.
"No. Do not speak to me about this matter until we are far, far, far away from the palace. My father cannot learn of this. I have everything planned out and he won't notice I'm missing for...at least a few months." Dongmei smiled, crossing her arms and picking up her sword from the ground.
