This is the rewrite version of my previous story, "The Yokai".
Raizo Tachibana is the son of Yasaka Tachibana, and older brother of Kunou Tachibana. He's a Kitsune born with 10 tails as opposed to the usual 9, and is therefore considered an anomaly...
After training Kiba and Xenovia for the day, I decided to see what Kuroka, Ahri and Shirone are doing. When I arrived at their location, I saw Kuroka and Ahri helping Shirone further her sage techniques.
They must've heard me, because Shirone turned to see me, and she looked a little surprised.
Shirone: Raizo? What're you doing here?
Kuroka: He's here to help you, just like us.
Raizo: That's right. Now, when it comes to your sage arts, I'll let these two help you with that. But, when it comes to martial arts, I'll be helping you.
Shirone: Okay... Thank you.
Raizo: Now, let's get started...
Later 3rd Person POV
The four are in a gym, and Raizo is supervising Shirone as she strikes at a heavy bag. During her time with Raizo, she is to not use her sage arts. She's only allowed to use the strength that the rook piece gives her. Right now, she's currently using her Muay Thai style on the bag.
Raizo: Your Muay Thai is coming along nicely. What did you mainly use before I taught you?
Shirone: Just some Boxing, and Kickboxing.
Raizo: Hmm, I see... Show me a kick.
Shirone: Umm, ok.
Shirone kicks the heavy bag, making it swing from side to side.
Raizo: Harder.
Shirone complied, and kicked it harder. This time, making it slide across the railing in the ceiling.
Raizo: Come on, I know you can kick harder than that.
Shirone focuses all the power she can muster in her legs, and kicks the bag as hard as she can, making it fly off the chain. Raizo smirks, and goes to get another bag.
Raizo: Nice... But your still not kicking at your full potential.
Shirone: What?! But, I kicked it as hard as I could!
Raizo: You have no trouble generating a lot of force behind your strikes. But, it's not always about how hard you hit something. It's about how precise you are.
Shirone: I don't get it.
Raizo: Don't worry. I'll explain.
Raizo picks up a spare heavy bag, and hangs it up in the railing.
Raizo: Before I explain, I want you to punch the heavy bag as hard as you can.
Raizo gets behind the bag to prevent it from flying off this time. Shirone complied and punched the heavy bag as hard as she could. When she did, Raizo was pushed back due to the amount of force behind her strike. But beyond sending the heavy bag flying, she didn't do much else. Raizo walked from behind the heavy bag, and up to Shirone.
Raizo: Your strikes have a lot of force behind them, but what you should be focusing on is precision. Heavy strikes will send an opponent flying, but it's better if you have more precision behind your strikes.
Raizo readjusts the heavy bag, and gets I to a boxing stance.
Raizo: Observe...
Raizo then punches the heavy bag. His punch had more precision than force, and blew a hole out of the other side of the bag.
