Ch.28: Gremory Vs. Sitri (Pt.2)

3rd Person POV

Sirzechs and Serafall were in their own private viewing room, and they just saw what happened between Issei and Saji. Serafall looked shocked at how brutally Issei had belated Saji.

Serafall: Oh my Satan... Did The Red Dragon really have to beat up poor Saji like that...?!

Since Saji was on Sona's team, and he actually stood up for her when all others laughed at Sona's dream, she was a little biased in their fight.

Sirzechs: *chuckles* Careful, Serafall. As devil kings we aren't supposed to show favorites, or act biased towards these fights. Besides, if Saji were in the same position as Issei, he would've done the exact same thing.

Serafall: *pouts*... I guess you're right...

Back with Issei and Shirone, Issei had just finished fighting Saji and Shirone walked up to him.

Shirone: Good job. Saji was arguably Sona's strongest fighter. Now all we have to worry about is Sona and Tsubaki.

Issei: Yeah. But, don't let your guard down. We don't really know what the others are capable of.

Shirone: Right... By the way, why is that line still attached to you?

Issei looked down to see the other line that was attached to his right hand was still there. Saji was already eliminated, so why was it still here? Issei tried pulling it off, but it wouldn't budge.

Issei: Hmm...

Instead of pulling the line off, he used his claws to cut it off. When the line was cut, he noticed that red liquid was coming out the cut end.

Issei: Is that... blood...?

Shirone: Yeah...

Issei: Were they siphoning my blood...?

Shirone: I guess... But, why?

Issei: *sighs* I don't know, but they ain't gettin' anymore. Come on. Let's go meet up with Kiba and Xenovia.

Shirone nodded, and they both ran off to rendezvous with Kiba and Xenovia. Little did they know, they just ruined Sona's big plan.

30 minutes earlier

Kiba and Xenovia were running through the mall, and entered the parking garage. As they were running through the parking garage, Tsubaki called out to them.

Tsubaki: Kiba. Xenovia. Welcome.

They stopped in their tracks, and turned to see not only Tsubaki. But a knight, Tomoe Meguri. And a rook, Tsubasa Yura.

Xenovia: There's three of them here...?!

Kiba: They realized this was our route.

Just then, Grayfia announced that one of Rias' bishops had retired.

Kiba: So... They got Gasper while he was scouting, huh...

Xenovia: Heh... That boy never did train his body enough...

Kiba looked at Xenovia, and she looked really upset at how they took out Gasper.

Kiba: (Can't let this shake us... Even though it makes my blood boil at the thought of them taking out one of my comrades. But, right now, we need to keep calm, evaluation the situation, and--)

Just then, Xenovia lunged at the three.

Xenovia: I'll be taking revenge for my dear junior!!!

Xenovia swung her Durandal at Tsubaki. She was able to dodge it, but the strike ended up cleaving a car, and a concrete pillar in half. Before she could continue, Kiba restrained her.
