Percy's POV
After I am done talking with Grover I get up and recollect myself. My breathing has slowed down but my heart is still beating out of my chest. I thanked Grover and told him I would catch up with him later to practise his climbing technique. I step out the infirmary and am immediately hit with the gazing sun beaming down on me. I raise my hands to cover up my eyes as they slam shut. I squint and continue walking. I decide to walk to my cabin and change my clothes that where dirty and bloodied from my time in Tartarus. The door squeaks open and I walk in, heading to the corner where all my stuff was kept. I pull out a pair of grey sweatpants and a dark blue shirt that was wrinkled. I put them on slowly as my body ached from the fighting from earlier. I manage to stand up and walk outside, the sun still shining brightly but it didn't affect me as bad as it did when I walked out of the infirmary. I slowly limp my way over to the lake sitting down and resting my hands on my knees. I immediately feel better as the water climbs up my leg. Something moves behind me and I can't help but turn around to see who it might be. No one is there. I suspiciously turn back to look at the horizon when I hear another noise, this time I spin back without hesitation and see someone running from a tree. I immediately get up, refilled with energy, and chase after them. As I get up to the tree they are no where to be seen. I hear a twig snap to my left and head in that direction. I see someone crouched behind a tree, hiding from me. Who is it? I wonder. I decide to approach the tree from the left so I could surprise them. The closer I get to the tree, the more i'm convinced I know who it is. It's Annabeth. I run up to the tree, which startles her. She sets off running."Wait!" I scream out in desperation. She stops in her tracks and turns around slowly to face me. "Look I know what you saw, and I know I can't really explain myself but he sent us there. He got what was coming to him." I say. "What did you do with his body? Where did you put it?" My anger starts showing in my words.
"I didn't touch the body." She stammers looking at me.
"Then what happened to it?" I say loosing my temper. She doesn't reply but the look in her eye tells me she knows. She's keeping it from me. I trust her with my life, and she's keeping secrets from me. "Tell me! Please?" I say bursting out into anger then regaining control. "I could get into serious trouble." I say.
"Trouble? Is that all you care about? Getting in trouble? You killed Nico, one of your friends. One of the big three. I mean how do you expect Hades to take the news? His only son was killed by his brother's son? You've put your father in danger, but worst of all you've put yourself in danger." Annabeth screams out, tears in her eyes while giving me the lecture.
"I~ I'm sorry." I blurt out, not sure if she'd believe me at this point. "For all of it."
