Nico's POV
Standing in front of me was an Empusa, I had never seen one before but I read about them in books. Beautiful but deadly. Her silky smooth hair was now a blazing ball of fire, Her leg had turned to copper and bat wings spread from her back. I hold my sword with both my hands now as my feet are steady themselves. She sees my manoeuvre and spreads out her wings, launching in the air. My sword follows her in the air as she hovers toward me, I manage to make a quick dodge before she could tear me to shreds. I regain my feet and swing it hard toward her back, she catches it and rips it from my hand. I gasp at how easy that was. With no weapon or power I am basically it's dinner. But I wasn't going to give you that easily. I run around her and pick up my sword, I dash into the grass, hoping it would get as lost as I did. The leaves whip and slash against me but I swing my sword to clear a way. I continue to run as I hear her manic laugh behind me, sending chills down my spine.

I have been running for ages, and the twists and turns seem to lead to the exact same outcome, grass. I decide to stop and catch my breath as I can't hear her dragging behind me anymore. My throat aches for water and every breath is painful. I don't stop for long when I begin running again.

The grass has gotten smaller so i'm taking that as a good sign. I have slowed my pace down to jog as I get tired of seeing all this grass around me. I eventually get too exhausted to jog that I begin walking.

I have no idea how long I have been in this maze. my throat aches and my stomach grumbles, but I seem to be heading in the right direction. My feet give up on me and I decide to just lay on the dirt ground for the night. I wake to the sun gleaming down on my face, I didn't have that problem before because of the grass blocking the view of the sun. I raise my hand to shield the sun but I slowly move my hand away as I realise it is a flashlight. Beside me I hear giggles. I jolt up and look around for my sword, that's no where to be seen. Instead I put my hands out infont of me, like that would stop anything. Standing still to my left is a little girl, wearing a blue dress.

Percy's POV
"She's gonna tell everyone." I mumble quietly under my breath. I walk back inside, shutting the door behind me, and sit on the end of my bed. I stare down at my socks, one big hole with a toe creeping out of it. I shift my shoes on and head outside. I try not to make any contact with the girls from the Aphrodite cabin as I skip toward the Athena cabin. I stop in my tracks and place my ear to the door, making sure i'm not intruding in on any conversations. When I don't hear anything a smile creeps on my face, I knock at the door. I stand still waiting for it to be opened, but it doesn't. I knock again.

"Oooo Annabeth." I sing out, hoping she would recognise me from my awesome voice. But still nothing. "Hey, it's me." I say incase she didn't get the hint. But still. Nothing. Hmm that's strange. When did I see her last? I remember she didn't show up for lunch the other day, but I didn't think anything of it. Worry starts to creep up me as I step off the porch. I look up ahead to see that me and Chris's paths would collide with each others so I decide to catch up to him.

"Hey, have you seen Annabeth?" I ask him.

"Oh, hey P. No sorry, I haven't. Maybe try asking one of the girls from the Aphrodite cabin?" He replies.

"N~ Uhm yea, i'll go have a look over there." I quickly change the subject and continue walking with him. He doesn't seem to notice that I don't plan on going near any of the girls from the Aphrodite cabin after the show that went down earlier.
