Nico's POV
I look down to see my aviator jacket ripped from my forearm to my wrists, stained with blood. I sigh as I take off my favourite jacket and lay it out infront of me. I hesitantly rip off the sleeves, making it a vest and putting it back on. I don't pay any attention to the slashes on both my arms as they have stopped stinging and I clear my head. Focusing on shadow travelling back to Camp Half-blood. I close my eyes and listen to my surroundings of the woods, I deeply breathe in and out as I can sense the scenery around me changing. When I opened my eyes, I found myself back in the woods beside camp halfblood. I felt light headed and tripped over a tree root but manage to catch myself. That managed to draw Percy's, who I totally forgot about, attention back on me. For some reason he was still in the woods, waiting for me. I blink heavily as I try to regain my vision, Percy becomes a blur charging right at me. I manage to jump out the way as my vision comes back. His back is facing me and I use this as an opportunity. I jump, clinging on his back and strangle him from behind. Putting all my strength into squeezing as hard as I could. Percy drops his sword and immediately latches his hands on my injured forearm to free himself from my grasp. As his arm makes contact with mine pain shoots through my body. It causes me to loosen my grip as I remember about the wounds. Still clasping on to my arms around his neck he shoves me into a tree from behind. I yelp as I still manage to cling onto him, trying to think about all the possible ways this could end.Percy's POV
I was confused at first, where did Nico go? How did he just disappear? Until I realised that he was the son of Hades. The forest was quiet and all I could hear was myself but that didn't stop me from looking, I wasn't gonna stop until he pays for what he did to me, do what he did to Annabeth. I decided to wait round for a while and head back to camp if he doesn't show up soon."Could this day get any worse." I groaned. I decided to give up and deal with Nico later, while walking back to camp I heard some rustling to my left. I quickly investigate as I see Nico, his jacket stained with blood and noticeably different.
"Ouch." He whispered to himself clutching his foot before walking away. I follow him. He notices my presence but he starts blinking a lot. I dismiss it and run toward him, all that was on my mind was Annabeth. He squints at me while i'm running full speed in his direction. He manages to dodge my swing but almost falls to ground in doing so. I try to regain my confidence as he latches himself onto my back. I immediately drop my sword as the air that was in my lungs had been sucked out. I gasped for air but nothing was entering my lungs. I grasp onto his arms remembering I had striked them before his disappearance. I began to feel light headed but was relieved when Nico loosened his grip around my neck. I continue to hold onto his arms like my life depended on it, which it kinda did. He had loosened up quite a bit, enough for the fresh air to fill my lungs again and I took my chance. I thrashed him into a tree which was easier than I expected, he didn't weigh as much as he looks. As his body thumped on the tree, his grip tightened and was starting to choke me again.
