"You wished to speak to me, president Snow?" Finnick asked entering the powerful man's office.

"Yes I did Mr. Odair, please have a seat." The president asked calmly.

Finnick was hesitant to do so as the last time he'd been in this office was when he was 14 and had just won the games. But he also knew the repercussions if he didn't follow his orders. Finnick made his way in front of the desk and sat down.

"Leave us!" Snow called to his guards and they exited the room and closed the door. Snow smiled at the 18 year old boy, "your customers speak quite highly of you." He told Finnick.

"I'm sure they do." He replied emotionless, already uncomfortable with the trajectory of the conversation.

"Indeed, so much so that I thought you could take on more clients." Snow said and Finnick's eyes narrowed and he was about to reject him when Snow made quite the proposition.

"Before you perhaps say no, I can find other means of persuasion, Mr. Odair." Snow said, "If you do not agree, i'll start selling miss, (l/n) too? How does that sound?" Snow asked the boy.

Finnick sat staring at the president with a hardened look. If looks could kill the president would already be 6 feet under. Snow knew he just had to dangle the threat of you being sold over Finnick's head and the boy would be putty in his hands.

He didn't want to agree, but if agreeing would keep you out of the slippery slope he was already in he would take that burden for you. "I'll do it." He answered and Snow smiled wickedly.

"A wise decision." Snow said before leaning back in his chair and stroked his beard in thought. "How strange it is how a single person can make us do anything for them isn't it?" He asked Finnick.

"Is that supposed to be a rhetorical question?" Finnick asked the president and all Snow could do was laugh. It was not a charming laugh either; it held no joy with in its cadence.

Snow knew he would never go through with his threat. Because (y/n) was the only thing Finnick loved, she was the sole bargaining chip for him when it came to the 18 year old boy. If he got rid of her he'd be getting rid of his only leverage over him.
