They had agreed to meet at the neutral edge of all of the realms. That way, their powers were limited and they could not harm each other if one of them experienced a sudden bout of anger or had the sudden urge to cull the other. It was a safety measure.

The second reason why they had agreed to meet at the Edge was because once you opened your mouth, you were forced to speak all of your thoughts. In the Edge, lying wasn't permitted as well as keeping your thoughts to yourself.

The watcher, the one that had been watching the screens earlier, the one who had noticed something strange had picked the location. The others, the ones who were doing the strange action had taken up the watcher's offers and they could not refuse. It was rude even if it was a risk and they did not want to seem any more suspicious than they already were.

When everyone got there, it was the watcher who spoke first. "Why?" they asked, "why is it that you had to do this?"

The other two just stood and blinked, resurfacing to open their mouths for it would only reveal the truth.

"You know... when your ancestors did this a long, long time ago, there was an explosion and—"

"I know!" exclaimed one of the other two. "I'm aware but we're prepared this time! It wouldn't happen again! No one will die this time! Trust us!"

The watcher only shook their head in disbelief. "We keep them apart for a reason. That explosion was inevitable even if it started out good. Even if it was done on a smaller scale, there would still be an explosion. Something bad will still happen. Why must you do this?"

"You know why," said the one that had first spoken while their comrade remained quiet, "if you didn't know you wouldn't come here to try and talk some sense to us. And you know you cannot stop us."

"I know," relented the watcher, "but I could file a report."

"It won't work and you know that," said the two.

The watcher just exited the Edge wondering why they even bothered trying to talk some sense into them in the first place.
