We slyly manoeuvred through the crowd, finding our way to the posh business class, while our family relaxed back in economy. As the plane smoothly took off, she teased with a raised eyebrow, coaxing a smirk from me. I went along, lifting her legs onto my lap. With a playful glimmer in her eye, she relished the feeling of a light tickle on her feet.
She dozed off for the entire flight, completely drained from exhaustion. Meanwhile, I kept my promise and continued gently tickling her feet. As I scrolled through the comments on the viral reel I had just blasted with my like.

As I scrolled through the comments, I couldn't resist clicking the "like" button for the few comments who ardently supported Chucky and me. The incessant influx of cringe-worthy videos from shippers fixated on the idea of me and Anika being a couple, had truly tested my patience. In response, I found a subtle satisfaction in stoking the flames of discontent among these fervent shippers.
The two-hour flight passed in the blink of an eye as I indulged in the amusing distraction of these online interactions. Gently waking Chucky, I could see the fatigue in her eyes. Deciding to alleviate her discomfort, I carefully lifted her and settled her into a wheelchair.
As my dad assumed control of the wheel, with her dad seated beside him and all the other ladies squeezed into the middle seat, Chucky peacefully slept on my lap in the backseat. My friend had thoughtfully brought our car to the airport, allowing us to swiftly head straight to the village without any unnecessary delays.
It took us a good five hours to finally reach our village, with Chucky's dad and my dad taking turns at the wheel. Chucky woke up just 15 minutes before we were set to arrive, still clinging to me like a bear, unaware of the teasing glances everyone in the car was giving me. Blushing, I looked out, watching the green farms pass by, joined by Chucky, who was smiling as she admired the beauty of our village.
