Alex, Cristina, and Meredith take their places in the lecture room. Ellie and Cassie are already there as they sat sharing a box of chocolate chip cookies

"I can't believe Altman postponed out surgery for grand rounds. It's just a boring lecture. " Cristina said

"Your husband said it was mandatory" Meredith said

"One more hour of sleep, that's what it is. " alex said

"I don't talk to me over sleep Karev my baby hates it" cassie said

"But she's cute though" ellie said as April joins them.

" Oh, no. It's not gonna be boring. This is Jackson's mother, Catherine Avery. " April said

"She's a urologist, right? " Meredith asked

" Yeah. I met her when I was an intern at Mercy West. She was amazing. " April said as Jackson joins them.

"She is ... a lunatic. " Jackson said

" No, she's not. She's brilliant. She says these things that shock you, but then when you think about them later, they change your whole life. " April said

" Or they ruin your whole life. She's toxic. She's a meddler. My mom has no boundaries. Be warned." Jackson said

"Is that why you shipped your girlfriend off I knew I can't blame you for being embarrassed I mean your girlfriend confessed she's in love with my brother it's got to hurt" Ellie said

"Ellie" Cassie said

"I'm just saying it can't be easy" Ellie said

"Someone who's got a hypercritical surgeon for a mom. I get it. " Meredith said

"Brother here. Well the surgeon bit hes just egotistical" Cassie sad

"He's great in the sack though" Cassie said

"Cassidy Torres I did not need that image right now" Ellie said

" Is your mom ambidextrous? I bet you she is. All the best surgeons are. " april said

"Wait a second. How often do you talk to my mom? " Jackson asked

"We're facebook friends." April said

" You're ... you and my mother? "

" She's a brilliant surgeon and woman. She's a trailblazer."april said as Ellie laughed at the look on Jackson face

"And she's got a stalker. " Meredith said as Ellie laughed

"Ha you got yourself a mommy stalker" Ellie said as Jackson gave her a look

" Hey, you know what? Just meet her. You'll see it." April said as Cassie and Ellie held a look

Catherine appears on the stage.

"Wake up, everybody. I know, I know, it's grand rounds, where we have to sit and listen to somebody talk about how somebody did something and here's how they did it, and there's not enough coffee in Brazil for this. Well, not today. Today we are going to do. Today I'm going to change a life and maybe make medical history, too." Catherine said as Jackson ducks in his chair. Ellie notices this and laughed
