Isa's POV.
"MEL!" I yelled for the millionth time. I'd been waiting for her to get done being ready for a while. "MEL!!" I screamed, walking out my room, knocking on the white door. "MELODY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I said opening the door after an absent response.
I cursed under my breath, watching her rest softly.
Melody's POV.
I felt my body shake violently. As my eyes struggled to open. I squinted as lights surrounded the figure above me. It was isa towering over me. "WE'RE LATE, GET UP" she yelled. As I jumped out of bed to check the time. 8:21 I sighed as I walked to my closet, looking through all of my basic colored clothing. "Ooo, what about this one?" She said as she pulled out a short knitted dress.
"Are you sure?" I asked. Is this appropriate for a party? I asked myself. "Yeah it's your style but also attractive" well that's mean. Dose she not think my style's attractive? "Okay" I sighed and ignored my thoughts.
We were already on a tight schedule, so I just grabbed some lipgloss, and perfume.
By time we arrived to the party, there were already people all around the house. Not such a great time to bring up my social anxiety, huh? "Hold my hand" isa said as we walked through the crowd. People glared, winked, and mean mugged us as we walked pass.
I felt my wrist being grabbed. "Hey pretty girl" I heard a voice yell over the rest of the crowd and along with the music.
"I've never seen you around here before, what's your name" he said as his hand snaked around my waist.
Before anything else could happen he was quickly slapped by isa. "What the hell!?" Isa yelled. "Fucking creep." I heard her semi whisper under her breath. "Stupid ass lesbians" the man grunted.Isa ignored it, continuing to walk towards the kitchen where red plastic cups layed. "Want some?" She offered, as a bottle of titos shook in her hand. "I don't drink" I yelled. "Ok, more for me!" She gave me a quick wink.
"What's up?" A man walked up to us, he looked like he was in his 20's
Isa gave me a quick side eye with a smirk. The kinda look that says, oh he's fine. I giggle to myself as they made small talk for a hot minute before leaving the room. I sat there in my own thoughts, blocking out the music. Time was passing fast. Before I knew it, it was 11pm. I shot isa a quick text. "Have fun, I'm gonna walk home."
I started walking out the house. It was pitch black. I payed no mind to it knowing if I thought to hard about it I'd get scared.
I was about a block away as I came past a corner store. Stopping to grab a quick snack. I entered the store and went straight to the candy isle. "You should try those." A tall man said, he looked like he was in his mid 20's. Dark black hair with slightly dark green eyes, that landed right below be thick natural upward based eyebrows. He pointing to the mambas. I looked at him with a blank face. He's so pretty. I thought to myself.
"Hello?" He asked looking a bit concerned. I stumbled over my words as I tried to reply "y-yes, hi. Y-you said the mambas?" I asked, pointing at the recommendation. "Yeah" he chuckled. His white pearl liked teeth shined. I quickly grabbed the mambas and some chips to go along with it, hurrying to the cashier. Omg this is embarrassing. I thought to myself.
"That'll be 6.27, will you pay cash or credit?" The cashier asked politely. "I'll tak-" I was rudely interrupted by a slightly deep voice. "I'll pay for her" the guy from seconds ago said standing next to me. "Oh no, you don't have to" I plead. "It's fine darling" he said as he studied my eyes.
Once the cashier had thrown my things into the bag I hurried out. "Hey!" I heard a voice call out. What does he want now.. I turned around. To see the same guy. "Do you need a ride home? It's really dark and you know how it gets out here, I don't want no vampires getting ya'' be joked. "I promise I won't kidnap you, I'll even walk you if that makes your feel safer.
I knew not to take offers like this from strangers but he gave me a fuzzy feeling. "Sure" I smiled. He walked over to me. "What's your name?" He asked in a soft tone, I could tell he was trying not to make things awkward.
"Melody" I gave him a blank answer. "That's a pretty name. He complimented. "Thank you" I whispered, as I felt my face warm up.
We slowly and slowly made small talk until we got into deep conversations as we walked towards the apartments
As someone with social anxiety, he was easy to talk to. He definitely knew how to carry a conversation well too. "Well, here we are" I said, rocking myself back and forth from my tippy toes from my heels.
"Do you need me to walk you up, or are you fine right here?" He questioned. "I'm fine, thank you" "okay, good night darling." He whispered. For a slight moment I swear I saw his eyes flicker to a dark red. But I'm positive it's just my imagination. He turned his back and began to walk away.
"Bye!" I said, walking into the apartments. He turned around and waved before disappearing into the dark.
